Not Thier Strongest Offering
GunnersMate7 November 2018
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was entertaining enough, but not the strongest offering from The Rookie. The strength being that the characters are largely solid and engrossing. The interactions between Nolan and Bishop continue to be fabulous; a wonderful pair of very real adults in very different stages of their careers with who provide us with interesting, complex, and often very funny conversations. Surprisingly enough, the Training Officer to Rookie relationship between Bradford and Chen was greatly improved this week as we learn more about Bradford's personal motivations and watch Chen start to stand up and stand strong as a uniformed officer. The weakest part of the episode was the scattershot police work selection that made up the framework for the installment. With one notable exception, it was simply not engaging or all that interesting - and it was more than a challenge to the need for willing suspension of disbelief (too much major engagement for the rookie crew). The episode could have been better, but it was very much worth watching.

People Are Good or Bad?
claudio_carvalho9 October 2021
A gang dressed like zombies steal money from a cash machine and Nolan and Talia hunt one criminal in the subway. They capture the thief, but a musician in the train steals the bag of money. They discuss whether people are good or bad. Tim meets his drugged wife Isabel in the hospital after an OD and he has a strange behavior, affecting the safety of Lucy.

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is another good episode of "The Rookie". This episode introduces drama in the genre with the relationship of the righteous police officer Tim Bradford and his junkie wife Isabel. Talia is one of the best characters in this series, worried in preparing Nolan to be a good cop. My vote is eight.

Cool episode as well, wondering about...
sargento301 February 2024
The episode is cool but somehow they managed to put every rookie under some sort of warning about their careers just because.

Randomly the Tos are getting to know better their assigned newb, but feels kind of weird for a harmed officer like bradford to be put back in action just the next episode, it felt like rushed out. Also I feel forced the drama they're setting up around her assigned rookie. Is very remarkable how Nolan's Tos is starting to respect his perspectives a bit more. But what I was really wondering about is one of the youtubers related in some way to Nathan? Because he looks so familiar? Don't you think?

Peeling the onion

I'm loving this show. With every new episode I'm learning more about the characters of the rookies and their TOs, like peeling an onion. I'll rewatch it for the little nuances.

Deja vu
Barry01691 November 2018
I feel like I've seen this before. The captain continues to be awful. The TO is super tough on his rookie, but breaks the law himself. Man caught in an ATM, idiots filming a Youtube stunt -- both of those were done better on 9-1-1 this season. This show just isn't good. Very disappointed.

But it's a one star for what I'm about to say but the episode a 9

Ok it's a good episode but writers didn't get this right the biker scene when chen said jackets it's actually called a cut she got the top rocker ( club name ) middle rocker ( club logo ) and the bottom rocker ( country or state of origin ) almost right but said gang name and one of the members of the DBMC had a SOA helmet (SAMCRO) reference it's cool to have a reference to it but no club in real life has it and the so called prospect ( who doesn't have their top and middle rockers ) should have a patch that says prospects as the bottom rocker not California you only have your MC location is if you did something to stupid lose your top and middle rocker ( bikers are not a gang it's a club it's something people need to get right ) and the bikers did not have an MC rank president Vice President etc.edit 4/20/24 so remember when I said about the bottom rocker saying how it should say prospect and not the state name I follow an indigenous MC call Redrum and the prospects have the name and state not prospect I learn something new every day.
