There's enough here for more than one episode. That's what a big problem is with this show: they write too many stories because they seem to laze out on just one. If they broke this episode into two, the rating might be perfect.
DJ prepare herself for the Bay's vet of the year. Jesse and Becky are the emcees. Matt wins and DJ is envious. She has all reason to be: Matt's own pet care was open for just a few weeks and he has not had his practise in San Fransisco as long as DJ. It drives a wedge between them.
Jesse partakes in a "Mommy and Me" group: its a group of single and housewives together. One of them makes advances towards Jesse. That's his curse of being a handsome househusband.
Jackson and Ramona attend their first high school party where Jackson gets drunk. Fernando bails them out, but Jackson caves. Again, this is something the episode should have hinged on. It will always be a major issue among teenagers. Luckily, it surpasses both of the sucky episodes in the original series about drinking.
