Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A character is stabbed with a flower (offscreen). The character's dead body is seen a few times after her death
  • A main character attempts to kill himself by pouring gasoline on himself and lights a match. He drops it but another character catches it before it hits the ground.
  • The whole premise of the show is about children being farmed so that giant demons can eat them.
  • In the first episode, two of the main characters see one of their younger friends dead & beat up in the back of a truck. It's a jump-scare & it can be very hard to watch since it is a young child.
  • Season 2 is a lot more violent with people being eaten by monsters and cut in half.
  • In an early episode of season 2, an uncontrolled demon is shown chasing one of the main characters around a forest, and soon after has it's head cut off by controlled demons. Blood is shown.
  • In season 2 a few characters are seen getting bit in half, this scene is very bloody and gory. In the same episode Ray shoots the demon in the eye. The eye is seen bursting with blood.
  • There is a suicide scene in the last episode and it is very graphic.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Norman develops a drug that can kill all demons.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A well liked character gets her leg broken. (It's not particularly graphic or bloody, just shocking)
  • In the final episode, we see the dismembered ear of one of the characters. It is later implied that almost all of the other kids did the same (none of the other kid's dismembered ears are seen)
  • One of the characters attempts to kill himself by pouring gasoline on himself, and drops a match to burn himself, but is saved before he burns.
  • The whole premise of the show is about children being farmed so that giant demons can eat them.
  • One of the main characters is "shipped off" in the first season, causing most of the happy-go-lucky characters to act depressed in the next couple of episodes following.
  • Norman's character changes drastically from season 1 to season 2; he becomes driven by revenge, which can be disturbing.
  • In season 2, the kids interact with demons on a regular basis and are regularly in peril and dangerous situations.
  • The kids "mom" is actually evil and rather sadistic.
  • Sister Krone is a rather frightening character; she talks to dismembered dolls and acts super creepy in the first season---almost seems psychotic.
