When editing the film, it was found that the Rebel t6i's footage had a hot pixel. Most of them were hidden by the digital letter-box, but some were still in certain shots due to maintaining good framing. These red dots were successfully taken out in After Effects, but the data wasn't backed up and became lost. The final product has the hot pixel, yet one of the staff was still credited as Hot-Pixel Remover in the End Credits.
There's a crew member visible in the mirror of a car for a split second. It is when Faisal is escorted out of the Detectives' car to go to a peace house 10 blocks down the road.
There's a boom at the top left corner of the first shot in the Spanish Rice Sequence for a second before the car enters.
In Faisal's first conversation with Phil, the boom mic was visible; however, it looked like it was some furry thing hung up on the rearview mirror. When Phil turned his car to the right in the scene though, a boom shadow ruins the illusion for a few moments. It is squarely on Phil's cheek.
Originally, Faisal's family name was Aust, a German name; however, during the last day of shooting the Domestic Violence Sequences (Phase 4 out of 5 in filming), Susie Derber (Playing Detective Trainee Kim) said Mr. AW-ST instead of Mr. OW-ST on her best take of a certain shot. Because of the mistake, all other mention of Faisal's previous last name was taken out of the picture. Now the last name is a play of OST, the abbreviation for Original Sound Track (musical score, especially for movies and video games). It ended up being a happy accident found in Post-Production.
