I discovered this series on Hulu. I was drawn to it by the historical aspect as I am a former history teacher. I have completed all twelve seasons. I have been astounded by it's loyal fan base and I have enjoyed reading their good and critical reviews. I have also read the original books. I agree with the points about the writers putting their liberal views about abortion, the Catholic faith & religion, and homosexuality into the series. Those issues were around during that time but I would have liked them to address them as they were dealt with at the time. However having stated that, I still like the series and the characters and the actors who portray them. I hope they will continue to share Canadian history, inventions, and the forensics of the time period. I like the humor and tongue in cheek references. I do love the relationship between Murdoch and Ogden. I agree that having a lady coroner or surgeon at that time is stretch but I enjoy watching them work together to solve a case. I hope they will show this character especially Ogden becoming more open to Murdoch's views, I like her strength but it would be nice to give them a chance to grow together as a couple. Final point, I noted in somereviewspeople complained about the women's hair, I for one think MsJoy has beautiful hair, and as William noted it was lovely in the beginning series when she wore it in a long braid but I realize as a professional doctor not very sanitary. Looking forward to season 13.
