This series was fantastic for the first two seasons, but that story is done. Here is the aftermath, and like some aftermaths, it's a long, arduous process. It's funny because a lot of times, an ending can drag on and on in a long movie. And the difference between an aftermath in an ongoing serial is continuation, which this show is doing, and in a somewhat bumpy, clunky fashion.
Don't get me wrong. It's still intriguing given how much we've ventured with most of these people already. But the main problem is Lizzie, an entirely new character who has a backstory as the title character's ex who's just as good a con artist, and she's suddenly given so much power within the series without earning it. She's kind of forced, and being so formidable it's weird she was never mentioned before.
So, so far, Sneaky Pete 3 hasn't had too many incredible moments like the first two kickoff episodes of the first two seasons. But there's a hint of a light at the end of the tunnel, and each season is its own tunnel, and there's that feeling that soon enough we'll be wonderfully lost all over again.
