- A man is decapitated. It is sudden and realistic with a brief spurt of blood. The scene ends quickly. Another man is boiled alive. You mostly hear him scream. It's not until the end of his life do you get to see his body which is grotesque.
- A man is boiled to death over the course on 12 hours or so. It is protracted, brutal, and you see his scalded body as he thrashes desperately in a cauldron to kill himself and end his suffering. Very disturbing.

- It's implied that an infant was murdered as a penalty for his father's offense, which was an outburst during a meeting when no one else except the leaders were allowed to speak. The suggestion of the penalty was from the infants father. The murder is not shown but the time from when the offense was made to the time when penalty takes place is drawn out.
