The first five minutes are spent recapping on the finale of series 2. Whereas I waited 5 minutes between episodes, in reality the gap was two years. What a lot of differences in that time too!

Losing a regular cast member is always difficult but John has replaced Daan well in the last series but, here, there is no replacement for Annelies yet.

There is little humour here but prison is a dark place and even Ingrid can't help raise a smile.

After all the sensitive subjects in the previous two series, the show now goes PC with ethnic minorities everywhere where before there were none. To put them all in a prison is unfair and I do hope that if the minorities are going to be show then there should be a regular cast member that is not white too.

Obviously, this is most different from the past and it must have been a tough decision to bring the show back after such a break.

I do hope it proves to be a good decision and not just that tricky third album many musicians endure. Well worth watching but hope the light heartedness will return.

A treat

After the two first seasons I was worried that the 3 was going to be dull when the female cop disappeared from the show. Au cointrarie! With the always annoying Saskia as a replacement the show become genuinely more interesting. Great show.

Depends on Where It Goes

Warning: Spoilers
The previous two seasons were focused on solving murders so we'll have to see how the filmmakers handle this season. So far, Christina has not particularly distinguished herself regarding bravery. Whereas, Mrs. Sneyers is proving herself to be a real trouper, first class.

The last scene reveals the writer has never lived in the city. Any kid who lives in a city KNOWS you have to look both ways before crossing the street. City kids do NOT rely on drivers slowing down or stopping for them. In the REAL city, drivers can be high on dope or drunk on booze. Therefore, the kid getting run over by a car was not merely fictitious, it was TOTALLY implausible.

This was really a set-up episode, so judging this third season depends on where it goes from here. Depends on Where It Goes.

It has all gone belly up.

Nothing like the previous two series.
