A much better episode with the positive discrimination deciding on the promotion causing friction between Saskia and John, Jasper is coming to terms with his new freedoms and still wondering about his father but has good fortune regarding a rival.

There is a good murder story too but it does seem very immaterial compared to the main story.

On the positive side, there were no contentious PC issues in the guest sfar character rwkationships and there was a brief glimpse of a non-White student.

There is hope the world will be a harmonious place by the end of the series.

Extremely Confusing

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was extremely confusing. And as I'm writing this review, I'm beginning to see why.

FIRST: There was a complicated murder mystery that featured a plot revolving around several arguments occurring amongst an assortment of characters.

NEXT: There was a complex argument raging between Saskia and John revolving around whether Saskia obtained her new position fairly.

AND: There were two OTHER bones of contention. One between Professor T and Walter, as to whether T was ready to teach again. The other was between Professor T and himself regarding his guilt.

IMHO, there were WAY too many arguments going on simultaneously in this episode. So many, that after awhile the viewer gets lost as to who is fighting with whom.

What this episode lacked was a calm center of stability. It's obvious the writer was attempting to create drama by polarizing the characters. However, when virtually EVERY character in a story is polarized, it's not drama . . . It's confusion.

The positive thing I can say about this episode is, I learned a lot about good screenwriting by analyzing the failure of this script. Perhaps Professor T is rubbing off on me!
