A few scene are funny. He did well portraying the crazy side of the characters. The script isn't too interesting. But okay entertainment.

Alright acting, Okay execution. Not very engaging though the stories concept could have been great.
Was leaving when the movie was finished BUT stayed for the credits song! Really fun and catchy. Ended up looking it up and it's called Crazy Love by a singer named Paty Cantu! Best part of the movie IMO.

This is THE WORST movie I've ever paid to watch. Not only is it bad like a movie can be bad. It's insulting to mental health, all spiritual beliefs you can think of and the acting is pitiful.
I was expecting something simple and not the great Hollywood film, but this was just worth crying over.
Please don't waste your time or money watching this piece of trash.

Could tell you this was good. Don possy practices his ballet spin in the pale light. Reves up a high energy spin and releases his arm which duck slaps a picture of a hernia in the kitchen. Meanwhile the guy who sits on the floor outside the lays chip factory with an unlit cigarette taped to his face lights a fuse that is taped onto his gas soaked pants.

2 stars because the are really really trying here! It seems like the writer was thinking in Mexican Spanish and translating the humor in English. Culturally the comedy does not translate and makes the movie fail. I was hoping this movie would be better because the main actors are great Mexican-actors and was hoping this could help them in the crossover to English films... it fell very short!

Gary Marks, who wrote the "original screenplay" for My Boyfirend's Meds / Las Pildoras de mi Novio, stole $27,000.00 from me on my 36th birthday, April 7, 1994. I'm now nearly 62, and I'd really like to get my money back, so please see this movie, because I'm filing suit in court and liening the gross proceeds. Thank you!

This movie is hilarious if you are bilingual and understand what is being said. Super fun fun movie. I laughed my butt off the entire time. In tears! Wish I was high to have enjoyed it more lol. Any who besides the comedy in it I love how the plot is nothing like you've ever seen in Hollywood. Different love story I love it. Refreshing!

I saw Las Pildoras De Mi Novio tonight because it was playing at my Regal and I have Regal Unlimited.
This is like it was written for Jim Carey or Will Ferrell but given to an actor who can inhabit a character instead of just a list of mannerisms.
A girl falls for the perfect boyfriend and brings him on a work vacation where it turns out he's only perfect because he takes a long list of pills. And he managed to leave the pills at home. Mania ensues.
The movie lands on a nice message about 1/4 of all people having mental health issues requiring medication.
In addition to Jaime Camil from DuckTales, Legend of the Three Caballeros and Jane The Virgin, the cast includes Jason Alexander from the Aladdin cartoon series, Brooke Shields and The Office's Brian Baumgartner.

Very funny. Mostly in Spanish with subtitles so i think that is going to greatly affect english and spanish speaking/understanding audience differently. For the record, mental illness is a part of my family and I did not find this insulting. I died laughing with the curandero scene.

There are so many haters! This movie is entertaining, very funny and Jaime Camil's acting is great. I pay to go to see a movie only, if it will make me laugh and this movie definitely accomplishes that objective. I could hear everyone in the theatre cracking up, sadly most people don't take the time to review.
By the way, it does have subtitles.
The movie covers mental health issues in a funny way, but it still brings awareness to a very sad subject. I hope they continue to make Romantic Comedies of this type and NOT more movies about servants, criminals or gardeners (so sick of those movies). Keep it up Camil, you are awesome and so handsome!

This could have been a blockbuster if the initial concept would have been followed. Unfortunately, I must blame the Director since there is no one else to blame. What a mess of a movie... UGH. None of the comic bits work.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd have to give it an 11!!! It was one of the FUNNIEST movies that I have seen in years!...It t was a romantic comedy as well, with a handsome leading man, (eye candy, for sure! ;) ) , set in some of the most beautiful scenery on the Mexican Riviera!... It was partly in English, and the rest in Spanish with English subtitles...But PLEASE don't let the fact that it has English subtitles, deter you from going to see this movie...If you DO, you will miss a VERY entertaining movie, indeed! I laughed so hard, my stomach hurt!! LOL And I definitely WANT to see it again!

The people that gave this movie a bad rating certainly didn't get the jokes because they are too white to understand. Its a racial offense, all your comments about the movie. Personally, loved the cliche of this movie and how funny it was. There was actually pretty good acting because Jaime Camil did a good job acting mentally ( which I notice that people don't get the joke and always take it in the wrong way). Please be mature and accept this movie is pretty great!
