Bad script, bad acting, low budget, worst effects.

Not even a B movie, maybe a D.. but most likely a F.

I just cant understand the storyline either, and i cannot understand those who actually made this low budget movie, and why? Was it a school project?

Oh boy, I'm getting sick of watching home made videos. The best thing is their poster. The directing is poor, most of the actors are still at drama school, low budget due to producer lost all the fund at the casino........ I bet the high rates are from their friends, relatives and what ever their home made company is.

Stay out of it unless if you're high ....

Oh my God! I can't believe it. This makes one of the worst films I've watched this year. I don't even know how to describe how bad it is. One word to say it. It's worst. Acting is very bad. It's like watching a child play. And the script is also bad too. It's like watching the cat catches the mouse game. The story is so ridiculous! I can't even watch it the whole thing. It's so ugly and very, very bad. So, to say it overall, it's very bad. It's not worth to watch this film. DO NOT WATCH this film!!!

I'm not going to be too brutal because the film is obviously made by people starting out in filmmaking, possibly a student film. For the effort it takes to bring a film together when you're starting out, some credit is due.

Having said that, the film is unwatchable. Also, to the high reviews made by the cast, crew and their family and friends, at least make the fake ratings believable with a 5 or 6 out of ten. You're giving yourselves away.

Good try though. Maybe read some screenwriting books to learn the fundamentals of storytelling. Keep at it and don't give up!

This movie is dead like there is no plot no acting no storyline. Just blank?

It's like Sameer bahvarani maker of dharmann rip of but filmed by a 7 year old on an Iphone X with no idea how crop or cut works or really anything.

Sad just sad and funny because how bad it is.

I watched this movie the entire way through and I feel that was in itself an achievement. This is just so very bad.

The characters make no sense. It's like Indiana Jones meets community theater and the director has a steampunk fetish. Yet it's all taking place in hawaii?

The story line is pretty bland. I guess if it was executed better it would it would qualify for maybe some deep cable network.

Above all the acting is probably hands down the worst. It's hard to explain, but it's like an alien race trying to pretend to be humans. It's so unnatural watching this group of people interact it's unsettling.

This seems like another one of those pet project movies that someone decided to self-make on par with Rocket Hunter. At the same time it make Sharknado look like a dazzling piece Oscar worthy cinema. Anyone rating this over a 1 clearly either knows the cast or has a extremely prudish nature and probably doesn't watch normal television to compare this against anything.

The acting in this has to be the worse i have ever seen.-this makes asylum movies look like hollywood blockbusters -like i said i only lasted 3 mins well nearly 4 - no way am i guna sit thru an hour of that -the poster cover looks amazing btw -sadly the film isnt.

Agree with all the negative comments, but gosh darn , these folks went out and made a movie. It did have some nice scenery. I'd expect the actors and actresses all learned a bit and would expect next film to be a bit better. I mean, come on, we all think acting is easy. This shows that even people with some training still have things to learn. And if it was a takeoff on adventure movies, it actually worked well. The actress who played the native woman was believable. All the actresses were attractive. The big henchman was big and mean looking. Look , all in all , even though it wasn't a great , or maybe even good movie, I stayed with it .

How are we not offered a refund under implied warranty of merchantability? This isn't a movie. It's a filmed group of individuals. That's it. There is no story, no plot, no acting, no direction, no cinematography, no set design, and most of all, no talent on display anywhere. It's safe to say none of these folks would get past the front door of a professional film production.

The only real accomplishment here is it is not easy to make Hawaii boring...

Oh, and to family and friends giving ten stars for this effort: at this point in their lives they've received enough participation trophies. Time to be honest.

The entire project seems to be an entire mistake, nothing good any where.

Actors are well... not acting at all, there is no scenario, no humour, no suspense, music is terrible, technically sounds is bad, images are bad etc.

There is even no soul, no passion, nothing!

I can't believe anyone scored it more than 1 even it they were wife or parent of the actors.

I apologise for the critic, I really tried to find something positive.

A wonderful family movie! I recommend for every people who want to have a good time watching an entertaining Hawaiian adventure, with an awesome crew. The cinematography is beautiful, as well as the tone that flows between mystery, action, comedy and emotion. A great movie!

5 min in. Honest, that was trying. Utterly atrocious.

I've just come from watching Lapsis (2020), another low-budget film. That has a story. That has subtle nuances that are really interesting. It's a really good film.

TLT is a total waste of effort. I criticise actors looking like they are told to do this and that. I see that in the latest Dune (2021). Horrible acting. This is way, way, way, way, way, way ... way worse.

Perhaps I missed the point, and it's an example of how to not make a movie. The frequent and needlessly long pauses may have been meant to add suspense, but they are simply pointless long pauses. The lines were delivered as if the performance was a first read; there was no emotion, no reaction, no rhythm, nothing. There may have been a plot, but if so, it was hidden by the way it was presented. The characters were robotic, and gave no life to the story. I was tempted to say it was like a a play written, directed, and performed by a group of unsupervised seventh graders, but that would be unfair to seventh graders. I read a few reviews that said it was a good movie for children, but I suspect all but the youngest children expect more than this.

While I agree with the reviewer who watched the whole thing, gave it 2 stars and said some legitimately nice things about the considerable work that goes into any filmmaking, etc., I couldn't I made it past 15 minutes.

The setting is credible and the casting was OK, but I truly have seen better high school and very amateur community theatre productions. The film *could* have been good camp but it just didn't sufficiently pass muster in any category.

The best I can say is that it appears everyone showed up for work and went through their paces--blocking was OK, actors seemed to know their lines, the costumes were mostly credible, but the actors' movements didn't appear natural, the dialogue was stilted, and the facial emotions (especially Josh Margulies) were worse than vaudeville.

I'll give it a D- for effort. Sorry.

Well, the best part of this "movie" is the end of the end credits.

As for the rest, seriously just go find a bad Nicholas Cage movie... any bad Nicholas Cage movie!

Whatever budget they had must have been spent on the two scenes where someone has to disappear, and the drone used for the establishing shots. The script was written by an angry monkey who got hold of a crayon. The costumes were stolen from the garbage bin behind any given thrift store. The actors were all dropouts from Rocco's School of Acting and Auto Repair. Not to mention that while they are supposed to be in Hawaii, they spend an awful lot of time in what looks to be the forests of Northern California.

Seriously, ANY BAD NICHOLAS CAGE MOVIE!!!

This is what happens when you can raid your college drama departments closet & you watched Raiders of the Lost Ark on acid too many times. Utter nonsense but kinda fun it's so terrible. I can see what they were going for and there's some nice scenery. Only an hr an 10 minutes at least .

THE LOST TREASURE is a unique magical movie experience.

It's funny, exciting, visually stimulating, warm, and romantic!

Despite the acting a little bit theatrical and the sound that could be better, this film is beautiful. Shot in the wonderful island of Hawaï, the scenes are fabulous. The plot is captivating, you won't see the time pass.

Nice film with a touch of mystery, a bit of poetry and action, just what is needed for a young audience. I liked the story and the actors and the spontaneity of the film. Some scenes are with a second degree humor style and I appreciated. Low budget film of course, but a good one. I don't understand the harsh reviews. Perhaps their authors did not see the intention of the film or its philosophy.

Josh Margulies is fantastic as Eddie Fox in the Feature film The Lost Treasure. It is a wild ride, so grab some popcorn and enjoy! Beautiful scenery captures the essence of this adventure.

The Lost Treasure is a greatly scripted, nicely executed film. It has quite a bit of action but definitely not too scary for younger children.

This film is about treasure hunter Eddie Fox (Josh Margules). One day he finds a book which leads him to find out about a magical staff. He embarks on a mission to get this staff before it falls into the wrong hands.

First, this film has lots of amazing stuff in it. Most noteworthy are the locations, all of which are beautiful; some are in the forest and others are on the beach, and are all stunning. This makes it a fascinating show to watch. There are a lot of interesting camera shots in this film. One example is the shot from behind the leaves which shows the main characters exploring. There is a bit of some intense stuff going on and its accompanied with some intense music that goes great with it. One of my favorite things is how the story of the staff is similar to mythological stories, without actually being mythology. I very much enjoy mythology so that made this story all the more interesting to me. Lastly, I noted that there is a group of three bad guys and a group of three good guys, which means there is a 50% chance that either side wins. You just have to watch it to find out.

The message of this story is to never give up and keep persevering because you never know what you might uncover.

I give The Lost Treasure 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. It releases on streaming January 11, 2022. By Avalon N., KIDS FIRST!

I watched this with my kids and we were having so much fun! The acting was extraordinary. With all the films out there to see this one is definitely a find and I hope to see more like this with Eddie Fox and company.

I really enjoyed this film which highlights the legends and landscapes of Hawaii. It's quite rare to have the opportunity to see such landscapes.

Between magic and adventure, this film is as beautiful as it's entertaining. Very good actors, action but not too much. We had a great time with the family.

We also appreciated the film's neither too long nor too short duration, perfect to hold the attention of our youngest kids.

A delightful story that mixes mystery, hidden treasure, good guys and bad guys, with lots of humor, tenderness and winks.

An excellent script, great actors and all this very well shot, in an idyllic setting.

Bravo for this little gem? I hope it is the first of a long series.

Beautiful cinematography, fun characters, mysteries and clues. Perfect for a nice screening with the kids.

Josh Margulies, as the treasure hunter, is very relatable, with its own share of weaknesses and strength.

The spirituality of the story also adds another dimension, that can be appreciated by young and older audiences.

It has all you can expect from a treasure hunt film, with the beauty of Hawaii.
