MAFS The Tropical Version
atlasmb26 October 2018
Sixteen singles who are looking for commitment are sequestered on a tropical island. (Been there)

They mingle, looking for instant chemistry with their possible partners. (Done that)

And relationship experts are there to give them advice about how to develop meaningful, healthy relationships.(Got the t-shirt)

Anyone who has seen one of the iterations of "Married at First Sight" will feel some déjà vu with this latest installment. The same experts are on hand and even some of the same singles.

The singles get two days of mingling to find a quick match. Those who don't match up leave the show. Those that remain get to explore their connections in depth, with the help of their able counselors, hoping to make a solid commitment before they leave the island.

As has been demonstrated on other MAFS seasons, this can be a formula for love and marriage, but it lacks novelty. Despite the different format, too many of the elements are the same. But if you have not seen MAFS before, you may enjoy it. These shows definitely offer plenty of insights. And they demonstrate many ways couples can improve their relationships.

Stick with what works and this does not

This show also sort of reminds me of those other version of singles on a tropical island looking for love or lust. Its just un-original and uninspired. Not to mention Dr. Jessica the one who is a psychologist is just cold and brings zero warmth. I really don't even know why they keep her on as an expert. She's painful to watch and doesn't bring anything meaningful or helpful.
