Fred Melamed guest stars as Ben's father, and hopeful father-in-law to Natalie Portman, who Ben's parents think is Ben's girlfriend. I would have loved to have seen Natalie Portman make a cameo in a Superstore episode, just like Marisa Tomei did in Seinfeld when George claimed he was Marisa's girlfriend.
Anyway, things are settling down now, with nary a reference to Amy's baby, so maybe the writers decided to airbrush the baby out for the sake of narrative and get the story moving along.
Also, I'm enjoying watching Superstore, along with the early seasons of Magnum, P. I., Father Brown and Law and Order.
