The finest hour of NCIS in a long, long time
LethalCorpse14 February 2019
16 seasons is an awful lot of tv show. It's been the most popular show in the world for much of that time due to a simple formula. It's always been fairly light viewing, but with solid writing, direction, acting and production. A few lousy holiday specials aside, it's never been guilty of jumping the shark. It's inevitable, however, that a show of this longevity will, from time to time, start to feel stale.

This is not one of those episodes. I'm not talking about the twist in the end. That's magnificent, and it's going to be a brilliant story arc for the rest of this season, but it's not what makes this the finest hour of NCIS in many years.

They did so much more with the cast than they usually muster. The rare depth they give to Gibbs, Ellie's and even Ziva's characters is wonderful. Except for the jar of water thing. That was useless. But the character development isn't it either.

It's the story.

This isn't your standard "dead petty officer" procedural. The story is absolutely riveting. It's been reflected in the news a few times recently, and it's horrifying subject matter. It's handled lightly - this is still NCIS - but believably, and with dignity. A couple of scenes had me in tears, and this show has never had that capacity before.

CBS, Don't play with my emotions!

Are you serious? The wave of nostalgia, just smacked me upside the head. This is the best episode since 2013. I can't decide if this episode marks an exciting new beginning, or the beginning of the end! Lord, have mercy!

Best Show All Season!
judysj14 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
True fans knew all along but all we had was our 'Gut' feeling. We knew Ziva, Tony, and Tali were in Paris. "Ziva loves Paris." Even if she only appeared in the show as a note. But wait there was her scarf and Tony's jacket with each being in different places ... hanging in the beginning and at the desk at the end, it was the most exciting show this season, probably the most exciting since Ziva and Tony left. Love Gibbs and the current crew but how great if she returned!!!

This is NCIS history and then some

Without a doubt the best episode so far. Great story and a great cliffhanger. I sure hope it will be going in this direction. And I hope Gina Monreal can be inspired to write more of this.

An awesome episode!

Warning: Spoilers
When it comes to "She", it's easily the best episode of the season. It has got great action scenes, emotionally powerful story (The twist regarding Ziva being alive and Gibbs' great speech about rule 10 was just amazing) and the case itself was extremly compelling too. The only thing that was not focused on was the motive for abducting the navy officer.

Overall, a fantastic episode.

Ellie's hair

Different scenes , different styles. Personally I like the 'kinda bangs' from the last few episodes over the part in the middle!

Another heart-tugging triumph
akicork21 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another really great episode, with practically all the chimes rung: tension, pathos, humour, family... I must set up a spreadsheet sometime so that I can check them off. 🤗 This is one of the best, though, edging towards a 10 rating. The high points have to be the heartrending performances (however long or short they may be) by Sunnie Pelant, Emily Wickersham and Maria Bello - what a good decision it was to bring her into the cast! Everybody else contributes their usual I high standard of input to the episode. Of course, the long-term cliffhanger is Bishop's discovery, near the end, of an unsigned note - could it be from Ziva?

She - 2/12/19

Warning: Spoilers
This Ziva-driven episode proved to be quite good. She will always be a part of NCIS lore, but it is good to see the show incorporate her occasionally and keep the legacy alive.

There was also a lot of truth with the on-screen struggles of Eleanor to fill Ziva's shoes. Just read the comments online and you'll see the parallel.

Good episode.

Does Gibbs Know Ziva Is Alive Or Not? Warning: Spoilers
At the office, Gibbs takes ziva's book from ellie. When Gibbs shows up in the lab moments later, he doesn't have ziva's book. Towards the ending, Gibbs is reading a page out of ziva's book to ellie. Ellie went to the hospital to read a page from ziva's book to morgan and lily's abductor because morgan's mother couldn't. The page was tore off, and someone already came and read it to him. Ellie went back to ziva's cabin, and found a note from Ziva saying for allie not to tell anyone her secret she's alive.

My First prediction: Ziva snuck into Gibbs house, took the page out of her book, snuck into the hospital, and left quickly.

My Second prediction: Gibbs Found out About Ziva being alive, seen her at his house, and told him to keep it a secret she was alive.

Either Gibbs Knew Ziva Was Alive Or Gibbs Will Get The Shock Of His Life In Season 17 When Ziva Returns.

Can Bishop leave already?
erin-5577318 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The plot of the episode was wonderful, but as usual Bishop acted completely irrational, to the point of going off on her own at random times, telling no one where she's going and thusly putting others at risk. In addition, her juvenile outburst to Gibbs (You know the one, the "Your rules are stupid and I'm not gonna follow them!" Speech) does nothing to help her image. She should have been fired long ago and I personally cannot see this getting any better.
