- Devon remains gloomy after loosing both bride and lover, but when the latter Julian's crashed car is found, empty, by nature lovers alerting the authorities, Devon decides to start snooping himself. Picking up her abandoned cat, for which he finds a new home, he snaps up her phone bill and discovers her last call was to an FDA official, whose cover up-lies don't quite put Devon and Conrad off suspecting a dirty link with employer QuoVadis. Their valves having been found unfit for active patients by internal tests, Bell promises a solution after due verification, in fact time he needs to try squaring it with Gordon Page, whose donations are now published by a website. Cued by ever-observant Conrad, Nic realizes sister Jessie isn't even applying for a job but just scamming for drugs, orders her to rehab and after refusal throws her out. Despite his humility vow and orders from Bell to abstain from major surgery, Austin agrees to transplant lungs, liver and pancreas to Eloise Camden after Bell's date Kitt, Conrad and mates convince the ethics board to allow the risky operation, upping the stakes en route as the posthumous donor's longs are damaged but her parents both volunteered.—KGF Vissers
