A feel good Christian indie emphasizing miracles for those who believe in God. I'm not Christian but sometimes it's nice to watch a movie with a positive message even though I don't believe there are such "miracles." Don't expect Oscar winning performances but enjoy for the positive message.

Well, this movie was likely more of a 3 or 4 in terms of an overall score however it's such a feel good message that it ups the score a bit in my book. And, that message isn't that it's necessarily about God but that it's a good message in a time where society needs to hear these good messages more than ever.

The young girl who is at the heart of the story does a great job with the script she's dealt. Up beat, sweet kid that reminds me a lot of Hayden Panettiere as a child actress. Mira Sorvino, Peter Coyote and Kevin Sorbo also do a great job, all things considered. I believe the scenery is all Oklahoma which was nice.

I'm a fairly agnostic person regarding religion but I have to say that we absolutely need more mainstream movies that have good moral messages about life and this one doesn't disappoint. It's obviously a lower budget movie that lacks a bit in the story line, directing, editing and overall budget BUT you leave the movie taking more from it than you give. And, that's fairly rare in 2021. Is it a 6? Probably not but the message is a 10!

The Girl Who Believes In Miracles is a lukewarm Christian movie with a weak storyline. The few heartwarming scenes aren't quite enough to keep this film afloat. With a strong performance by the ensemble's youngest actress, the movie does not have enough storytelling to deliver a wholly satisfying movie experience.

The Girl Who Believes In Miracles centers around a little girl named Sarah (Austyn Johnson) who has seen God and can grant miracles. She helps cancer patients, and even blind and paralyzed teens. All the while, Sarah's fame increases, with people knocking on her door to grant miracles. Sarah's health declines, too, but she keeps up her faith.

The movie makes it clear from the beginning that Jesus is praised, and that this is not a modern version of the Messiah's story. It is unclear, though, why Sarah holds this power to grant miracles as she has done nothing significant except have faith. The Girl Who Believes In Miracles is confusing in this way and may leave the audience wondering, "Can anyone be a Messiah?" However, the actors deliver empowering performances. In the scenes in which Sarah's health weakens, her suffering is absolutely heartbreaking. Austyn really has the audience pulling for her. Sarah's grandfather, Sam (Peter Coyote), also has a heartfelt monologue in which he talks to God and says he would rather die than Sarah. His love shines through, along with his pain, creating a tear-jerking scene.

The moral of this film is to always let faith guide you. Even as Sarah's health declines, she never loses her faith. She stands by God and understands that everything happens for a reason, unlike her family who try to fight the ticking clock. As a Christian, I did find the film somewhat offensive in its message that anyone with faith can perform miracles.

I give The Girl Who Believes In Miracles 3 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 18, plus adults. Reviewed by Heather S., KIDS FIRST!

I'm not religious at all, but I'm moved to tears! This film is not preachy, but tells a story of profound hope and faith. The girl touched many hearts in the film, and has touched me too.

Wow! What a surprise. I really like this movie. This is a Christian film but you don't have to be religious or even a Christian to enjoy this wonderful movie.

The story begins in church when a young girl, Sarah (Austyn Johnson) hears the preacher say ''Faith can become so strong that it can move a mountain'' we see in Sarah's eyes, she just believes and takes God at His word. So she starts praying...and miracles start happening. Sarah prays for a dead bird, and comes back to life, a dog is hit by a car and seems dead, she prays over the dog and he jumps up back to life. Sarah's paralyzed friend Mark, literally gets up and walks out of the doctor's office.

Word spreads very quickly that Sarah is a miracle worker and very soon people come to Sarah's house from all over the community to be healed. But then Sarah gets sick and is taken to the hospital. Can the Healer heal herself? Will God give Sarah another miracle?

The film is so positive and uplifting and some really good actors...Mira Sorvino, Peter Coyote, and Kevin Sorbo.

The true message is Anything is possible if you have faith in God.

I'm a devout Believer, but this movie was too Cheesy Even for me. I cut it off after she stated that she would swear on a stack of Bibles. Huh?? Not everything that has a Christian-themed title is Bible-based or godly. Satan comes as an angel of light, so be aware.

Mainstream Hollywood has a very jaded attitude towards Christianity. There are very few major films that show religion in any kind of a positive light. Therefore its really wonderful seeing films like this that show the love and power of God. Yes its hokey in some ways and you KNOW there will be a happy end but its still a "feel good" movie that reminds you there is a God who loves us all.

This is probably one of the worst movies I've ever watched... You can notice from the start where the movie is heading to and that proves how bad it is! There is no character... It feels empty! It's just a fiction movie where they use God's name for indocrination purposes.

The only way you can watch and enjoy this is if you are somehow already brainwashed... Summing up... It was terrible! I don't recommend.

In a time when nothing but filth, crime, perversion, and empty value is mainstream coming out of Hollywood, this movie proves to offer everything the movie-goer wants and desires. Uplifting, positive, encouraging, hope, kindness, family, friendship, loyalty, truth, and most of all... love!

We all loved this movie. It was well worth the money spent and the time. All the actors were stellar in their performances. The story-line was beautifully done and rendered in a way that wasn't religious, but revealing and heart-warming.

The entire family can watch this movie... something hard to find these days out of Hollywood. That in itself makes it a jewel filled with great value for your entertainment dollar. Go see this movie, buy it, or rent it... you won't be disappointed.

As a devotes Catholic, movie had a great message, but the movie felt rushed then the ending blew it. Not going to ruin it but they should have stayed on the path they were on. People throughout history have had a more powerful impact when they...... There have been documented cases throughout history that medical science can't explain. People having stage 4 cancer cured, spines being fused back together. With no medical science intervention.

The fact that all things can be done through God is the main part. But the acting in this movie is really poor. Besides that I would not spend your money on it.

If you rate this remarkable tale low simply because you're a bigot against Christianity then shame on you. For those that actually saw it, I'm happy to agree that it's a wonderful experience. And, that is just what this film delivers... an experience. It's well structured and well written and very inspirational. A truly revealing look at God's love and how life is filled with miracles if you ask for them and are paying attention.

Is there a way to currently watch this movie outside the U. S?

I absolutely loved this movie! There was so much to think about. I wished it was longer so we could see more of different characters. It wasn't as "religious" as I thought it was going to be. I highly recommend this!

This movie is complete heresy. I felt extremely uncomfortable watching this with my daughter. She finally looked at me and said "Mom, this is not real." Pretty profound for a special needs child. I know it is a work of fiction and that people enjoy feel good movies. My warning would be for a parent to watch this with their child, and if you are a follower of Christ to use this as a teaching moment. I found it impossible to watch. But I know that not everyone would agree with me.

Normally, I am not a fan of religious/Christianity films. I saw the trailer for The Girl Who Believes in Miracles, and it somehow spoke to me. Main story includes little girl who "suddenly" can help veterans and her disabled wheel chair friend, can walk again. We see her and her brother at a lake bringing a dead bird back to life, and she realizes this was "God" asking for "help."

Pastor is skeptic, Doctor is skeptic . While the little girl is " curing miracles", she gets dearly ill, stays in the hospital and grandpa takes her back to the lake for " God to wake her up.'' We find out latter, I didn't have powers, you all can cure your disability's if you close your eyes.

Sure, this was a cheap budget, but the message was really sweet and the supporting cast really worked well together.

This is a definite watch.

I created this account to write this review. My husband went to see this movie not thinking much of it and left in tears. This movie is wonderful and is such an uplifting movie that will strengthen your testimony of God and Christ. This movie has a powerful message to love god and your brothers and sisters. We much honor him by looking out for eachother and being there for one another. This movie had us in tears. We can all help others through our faith in God, we can impact people daily as we put our trust and faith in him. He uses us as his earthly angels to bless the lives of those around us. I loved this movie. There is a lot of scary and evil things happening in the world today. This movie gave me a lot of peace reminding me to remember the important things in life. 12/10 recommend.

So I understand what message they where trying to convey. That faith can truly move mountains and the power of prayer. But it came across to more like people where coming to her for healing and not God. I don't think that was there intention, but that's what I saw. We need to be very careful about not putting people or things before God. At the end of the movie they did try to reinforce that fact that this power came from God, so there is that. Which is also why I think that was there intended message. So I am not saying don't watch it. It could just be interpreted in the wrong way. Which is why I didn't like the movie.

You have to be REALLY forgiving to sit through this movie. Sadly, we desperately need movies of this type in this day and age, as our Godless society crumbles, that you would hope they could have found a better scriptwriter. The story is wonderful, and I loved that, but our theater was just about empty except for two other people in a theater that seats probably 60 or 70. The writing and acting was really weak. Cringeworthy, amateur at best. Some characters could have been better cast. At least some well known real actors held the story together, like Mira Sorvino, Peter Coyote and Kevin Sorbo, who excels in this genre. However, in all it was a welcome departure from the violence and degrading movies that is almost constant in movie making today.
