Salaar Vs Dunki box office clash finally happened, and the result is pretty predictable, keeping the nature of both the beasts in mind. While Prabhas’ starrer is ruling the Indian market, Shah Rukh Khan-Rajkumar Hirani’s film is slowly and steadily stepping up to continue rejoicing word of mouth.

Tiger Vs Pathaan’s Dhaasu Reunion To Deepika Padukone’s Draupadi – Here’s Our Wishlist For Santa Claus On Bollywood’s Behalf ( Photo Credit – Instagram; IMDb )
It has been a Merry Christmas for the newly released films Dunki and Salaar at the box office, and while everyone had their Santa lists ready, even we had our wishlist ready on behalf of Bollywood. This list included the fate of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, and others.
While we wished for big box office numbers, we also wished for better films. Overall, we wished for a better and bigger year for Cinema in 2024. But we went a little overboard with our list, and this was one greedy list we handed over to Santa Claus last night.
While we’ve asked a lot of things, we have been very specific in our demands – right from the golden number at the box...

He is the only actor who has played the roles of Rama (twice) – and of Raja Dashrath, Arjuna – and Karna, Vikramaditya, Harishchandra, Emperors Akbar and Shah Jahan, Alexander the Great – and a quarter-century later, his determined Indian opponent, Raja Porus, and for good measure, Persian strongman Rustom, and Hannibal of Carthage.
With his chiselled looks, strapping figure and emoting abilities, which made him consummate performer on stage, screen, and in his own life, Prithviraj Kapoor was a patriarch in all senses, be it with a range of regal roles in a career spanning silent films to the technicolour era, and in bequeathing Indian filmdom its most famous family, whose fourth generation is still flourishing.
As part of the latter, he is possibly the only Indian actor who has appeared in two films featuring three generations of a family – with his father and sons in “Awaara” (1951) and his son and grandson...

After teaming on Bengali-language film “Binodiini – Ekti Natir Upakhyan” (“Binodiini – Tale of a Theater Artist”), director Ram Kamal Mukherjee and actor Rukmini Maitra are collaborating again on “Draupadi.”
An adaptation of ancient Indian epic “Mahabharata” from its strongest woman character Draupadi’s point of view, “Draupadi” is based on Pratibha Ray’s 1984 Odiya-language novel “Yajnaseni: The Story of Draupadi.”
Ray said: “When director Ram Kamal approached me for the film rights of ‘Yajnaseni’ through my publisher Rupa Publications, I was delighted that even today Indian filmmakers are interested in the story of ‘Mahabharata.’ My book, ‘Yajnaseni,’ is about ‘Mahabharata’ from Draupadi’s point of view with contemporary relevance. ‘Yajnaseni’ is an epitome of patience, penance and power. It’s a creative collaboration, and Ram Kamal being an author himself, will definitely do justice to ‘Yajnaseni’ and her story. I feel we are at the right time to revisit our epics...

‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ actress Mitaali Nag said that more progressive and strong female characters are shown on TV these days and with the changes in society, the content of daily soaps has also changed.
“The awareness and knowledge of the viewers are developing and increasing owing to the easy access to the Internet. And that is the reason women’s roles on TV are evolving too. The female protagonists are shown to be quite progressive today. They are shown challenging the regressive customs and traditions that have been followed for centuries here. The audience now likes to watch a strong female lead, the one who has a voice and knows when and how to raise it,” she said.
Mitaali is known for featuring in shows like ‘Afsar Bitiya’, ‘Draupadi’ and ‘Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat’ and many more. When asked which TV show has progressive female characters, she...
