Exasperatingly difficult to watch

Warning: Spoilers
As an 18 year old girl who has everything. Sophie has the most loving, supportive, wealthy, and extremely patient family. Sophie is beautiful, smart, and able to get any thing she wants. Yet, she pursues a foreign looking guy she sights at the bar. She even aggressively tells this guy's girlfriend to "get lost". For whatever reason, Sophie needs this foreigner's love even if she has to betray her family; be physically & emotionally abused; forced marriage; her husband telling his friends to rape her; and yet this girl continues to be the martyr and stays with the most manipulative & violent husband. It's disgusting!

Reflection of reality

This is the real life for so many women out in our world that must be heard. There are many storys out there to find out about in books but not in a movie. I would say this is an important movie to spread knowledge around the world for the people that dont read books. Sad movie, good acting! I liked it....... If you can say such a thing about a movie like this.

I can only imagen how it must feel to live in this kind of fear for the rest of your life, becouse even if you manage to to escape, the feeling will never go away... Will your abuser be around the next corner? The next text or phonecall?

One Word-Pathetic

Warning: Spoilers
This movie should have had me pulling for this unfortunately abused women.....based on a true story. There has to be some serious mental illness in this women for repeatedly getting out and then going right back in. I'm sorry, I don't buy the "because I love him" excuse. This man was brutal and just down right evil....and you love him? He had NO redeeming qualities worth some one loving him. Beating her, sending videos of him making out with some skank, letting his friends rape her, provides medication for her to commit suicide and she goes back because she loves him. The real victims in this story are parents, sister, friends, employer and detective. They went to great lengths to remove her from this evil man and she lied to them, still communicated with him and then returned to his abusiveness. I don't know what the intended message was for this film but It missed the mark by a mile. I stop feeling sorry for her after the fight her dad had with the monster. And the series ended with no attention given to what happened to the husband. I'll give good marks to Mehdi Meskar for his performance as the husband. He truly made you hate this character. This movie left me feeling empty and frustrated. No joy in it at all.

Needs a minus rating

This is supposedly a psychological drama based on the theme of domestic abuse. There is nothing new as it deals with the usual type of character defect in a woman who is besotted with an abuser, but keeps going back for more. There are the usual cycles of leaving and going back, supposedly because love can change the situation etc. After a while, it all becomes tedious and without any real story of substance. It's a story that's been told many times over. This series offers nothing new as insight into the cycle of abuse. It's a pointless series that is perfectly suited for the streaming platform, Walter Presents, a platform that is a literal graveyard for all failed European TV series!
