Promising start....but nothing really special. It's an okay Nicktoon with nice animation
Reckno6415 October 2019
So far I like what I've seen, the first of the 2 episodes more though. Showcases a Mexican family that ISN'T based entirely off stereotypes, which I quite like. If you like The Loud House you will probably like this too!

Not much else to say here. It is a slice of life show aimed generally at kids so it will feature many jokes geared towards them. I will continue to see what this show has in store.

EDIT July 2, 2020: This show has lost me over time unfortunately. It relies on a lot of gross-out jokes much like Loud House, and that usually doesn't go over well with me, especially if there is no punchline. I saw a newly aired episode where the school lunch-lady dropped her band-aid in the mashed potatoes, then a student pulls it out of their mouth enthusiastically. Afraid I did not laugh at that one, it just made me want to throw up. And I'm sure there are more in recent episodes. I'm still giving it a 6 cause it's mostly a fine kids show, but there isn't much for an adult like me. Letter grade I give this show a C+ now. It is definitively an "OK" show. I still appreciate the fact that the Mexican family isn't all Mexican stereotypes, which would make the show dated and boring.

P.S. My mind changed actually, I think Loud House is slightly better. But not by much....

Not bad, but an ok show
princessstrickland2119 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Sadly, I can't get into this show as much I could with loud house, but it's not bad. It's mostly about Lincoln's friend, Ronnie Anne and her famy. She has a new friend and spends some time with her family. I like some of the episodes, and it's pretty good. Not bad, Nick

One of the best spinoffs on TV.
wilkja191 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ever since Ronnie Anne moved away from Royal Woods, she's been living with her extended family called "The Casagrandes". During Season 4 of "The Loud House", she made a new friend named Sid Chang and soon, they became friended with each other on any situation. That's why this spinoff is called "The Casagrandes".

Good but far from the best
travelertoon13 March 2022
Hola, my first review in the new year. This review will be on "The Casagrandes." I love The Loud House, it's a fun nicktoon. But I'm going to talk about its spinoff "The Casagrandes," instead. What do I think of it; I think it's good if you want to watch something. But it's far from being one of the greatest cartoon or nicktoon.

Let's start with the animation. Since it's the same as the Loud House, the animation is good from its comic strip animation. Now let's look at the writing. To be honest it's like the Loud House, except with a different family in the city. Some episodes are good like "Croaked," "Guilt Trip" and "Zoomergency." While other episodes are average or downright; bad episodes include "Slink or Swim" and most of the Sergio centered episodes.

Let's talk about the characters. The likable characters in this show are Ronnie Anne, Bobby, their mom, most of the Casagrande family, Sid Chang and her family. The characters I hate are Segio (an annoying parrot jerk), the news reporter, the fortune teller guy and some others. The rest of the characters like Hector, Rosa and Vito are okay. My favourite characters are Ronne Anne and Sid Chang. They have a beautiful friendship along with Ronnie being a tomboy while Sid is more of a cheeky girl.

So in conclusion the animation for the Casagrandes is similar but good, the writing is either good, okay or bad and the characters are good, okay or bad. This show is enjoyable, but it has too many mediocre or bad parts in it. I actually wish that the Casagrandes is better; My overall rating for this show is a 7/10.

I am not impressed
BustedBlock28 April 2020
This cartoon feels like it's just one of those shows that was just created to make as much money as fast as possible, and it just feels like an overall pointless thing to make. It reminds me of the Cleveland show, as that cartoon was basically the black version of Family guy, just as this cartoon is the Mexican version of The Loud House. The characters here are basically just rip offs of the characters in The Loud House. Hector= Flip (both are greedy), Maria=Rita (both are typical moms), Carlos=Lisa (both are incredibly smart), Frida=Howard (both of them are worry warts), Carlotta=Lori/Leni (Carlotta is bossy (Lori) and obsessed with fashion (Leni), then there is Carl, who is not a rip off, though he is a nuisance and the most annoying character in this show. The only good characters here imo are the Grandma, CJ, Bobby, and Sid. Then we come to the worst thing about this show imo and that is Ronnie Anne. The writers of this show basically turned Ronnie Anne into a Lincoln clone. In The Loud House Ronne Anne had a rugged tomboyish persona, but in this show she is basically turned into Lincoln 2.0 which sucks. It's fine if you guys like this show but I personally am not a fan of it.

Rename this "The Sid Chang Show" cause she's the real reason to watch this.
tommypezmaster15 March 2020
This was one of the best modern shows from when spin-offs are to risky to make The show doesn't have subliminal advertising, it has no bad writing so it doesn't annoy us when there is a funny moment and it had a supporting character who steals the spotlight. What more could you ask for a good show?

A loud house ripoff
davidaempatton5 November 2021
Firstly this was only made so Nickelodeon could say they have a diverse show on the air. It is just not funny it's garbage It's totally fine having a diverse show but make it something new not a clear Latino ripoff of a large chaotic whites family Ronnie Anne is clearly a female Lincoln.

Bobby is the dumb idiot ( Leni) Maria is just the Latino Rita Loud Rosa is a cheerier version of Lucy with her potions.

Hector is the Latino Flip.

Carlos is the male older version of Lisa Frida Îs a female ripoff of Lynn Sr Carlota is a Latino Lori with a tiny bit of Luna Carl is the male Lola Carlitos is Lilly Sergio is Luanne Sid is a mix between Lana and Clyde Ronnie Anne's friends are a garbage version of Lincoln's friends CJ is a mix of Lincoln, Clyde and Lana but worse.

The stereotypes are old and cheesy. The worst characters are Ronnie Ann's friends, Carl. The only good characters are Lalo, CJ, and Vito. The Humor was never Good it was so predictable. This show needs to be off the air.

Welcome To The Familia
nasdagoodshepherd16 October 2019
Aha! A huge middle finger to Planet Sheen and The Cleveland Show! A great spin-off series since MTV's Daria! The Casagrandes features Ronnie Anne and her family living their great lives in the big city. I watched the first two episodes of the show and they were great. The animation is incredible, the humor is wacky, the characters are likable, and the writing is rather clever. The theme of the show is literally catchy for me to listen to and I love it. Nickelodeon's The Casagrandes is an amazing show and I give it a 9.5/10

Someone should be fired
ImpertinentGremlin29 March 2023
This takes all the things that are wrong with "The Loud House" and uses them as the framework for a "new" show.

This unrepentant cash grab's only reason for existence to make a superficial and condescending attempt at appearing to promote diversity and to milk a few more pennies from the tired premise of the parent show. Every episode is a retread of a plot form the Loud House which was already retread and cliché, making this little more than the last few threads on a franchise that would have been better of being retired and laid to rest while it was somewhat ahead. Instead, we get this abomination.

I like the idea of a Mexican American family going on crazy antics with an Asian family. It really expands our knowledge on Ronnie Anne and how far she can develop. Awesome! I give this a 1/10 as means to say this takes the top spot.

Nice wholesome fun
ncgamer24 October 2019
Please don't listen to idonotexist review because the Casgrandes are honest more then ethnic pandering. It has a better duo of protagonist ,the art direction is still really good and it's nod to Mexican heritage is honestly really cool ,and while it still has the same flaws as the loud house, it's characters lean more on a unique side which kills a flaw that the loud house usually has and that's being cliche.Overall it's a nice, diverse, and organic cartoon for all ages and I highly recommend it.

Far from the worst, nowhere near flawless
OrangeSequins6 January 2024
Let me state it: "The Casagrandes" is not the worst series: it's funny at times, the characters are good, and it has great animation... but that's about it. Unfortunately, most of the stories don't work. While they are filled with some good jokes, the stories are weak and extremely formulaic, full of the usual clichés in every episode... and I'm not talking about one or two clichés here, but many. While "The Loud House", from which this is a spinoff, is quite a likeable series, this somehow lacks that charm. So, in summary: some of the jokes work, it has good characters and the animation is quite good, unfortunately it has very little other quality.

A cute Spinoff of The Loud House
Hello Everybody Today I'm Reviewing The Casagrandes a Spinoff of Nickelodeon's popular Nicktoon The Loud House. Anyway the Show is about Ronnie Anne & her Family living in Great Lake City. Ronnie Anne meets a girl Sid Chang who she & her Family Move to Great Lake City. Her Family includes her Little sister Adelaide, Her dad Mr. Stanley Chang Voiced by Ken Jeong & her Mom Mrs. Becca Chang Voiced By Melissa Joan Hart. Ronnie Anne's Family Includes Her Brother Bobby & her Cousin's C. J. who has Down Syndrome, Carl & Carlota. My Favorite Episode so Far is Karate Chops were Carl can't handle when Adelaide joins his Karate Class so he Challenges her to a Board Breaking contest & he wins & he need her to do the Board Breaking to save the Dojo. Anyway I really Like The Casagrandes & I give it a 10/10. Anyway BYE.

Fine Animation Series
RECB315 January 2024
This is an alright animation series for all viewers to watch. The storyline of the series is completely unique. The crew went to the absolute limit when they were creating this series. It is originally different from other animation series. The cast selection was great. They really committed to the storyline and to their respective characters. This animation series reveals to viewers the equality of cultures. In the world of today, everyone deserves to be treated equally for who they really are. Racism and other major issues need to be discussed and stopped more to make the world a better and safe place for everyone. This is a fine animation series for everyone to watch.

Even better than The Loud House
BoxwoodExpress6 November 2019
I watched the Loud House up until the atrocious episode known as "Kings of the Con", at which point I realized how stale the show's writing became and promptly ditched the series. I decided to watch the show's spinoff, The Casagrandes, instead. This show centers on Lincoln's friend Ronnie Anne, who moved to the city from Royal Woods, and is adjusting to life with her big family and new neighbors. It is quite similar to the Loud House, but different at the same time, and I can safely call the show better than The Loud House.

First of all, Ronnie Anne's Family doesn't have as much stereotypes as the Louds do. Each of them are very likable in their own way. It even has a good representation of people with Down syndrome in the form of the character CJ. They also don't abuse each other like the Louds do sometimes (like in No Such Luck). You also have Ronnie Anne's friends and neighbors, including Sid Chang, my personal favorite. She's a quirky, energetic girl with a love for K-pop, skateboarding and animals. I think she's a more interesting sidekick than Clyde McBride.

With The Loud House, it feels like they're running out of ideas at this point, so now they're recycling old episode plots but with a different coat of paint. However, the team of writers that went on to work on this show really know how to make do with the characters and setting they have. The city is more hectic and bustling than the suburban Royal Woods, so there's more supporting characters and a lot of potential plots that can be utilized, as well as a lot of potential characters to flesh out. There was a really good episode focusing on Day of the Dead, an important part of Mexican culture.

Speaking of Mexican culture, this show is a positive representation of a Latinx family. They're not perfect, but they love each other very much. This show makes Latinx kids and families feel seen, and there are no negative stereotypes. If you're getting tired of the Loud House, I recommend this show since this show manages be its own things. And no, its not The Cleveland Show 2.0. That joke isn't funny, so please stop.

It's a good show and it's a good spin off too. I'm just saying here that Nick needs more variety because this is only one of the four shows that play all day.

Incredible series, and stands out from The Loud House!
Jess04264 January 2021
I literally love The Casagrandes and I am addicted to watching it. This show is full of comedy, heart, awareness, loveable characters and families, and more. It's writing is incredible and the character ages are spot on to their personalities. So many lines are written for Carl that are so realistic to stuff that I said when I was little.

Also, we have never seen a Latino family represented in cartoon like this. This series has the same cultural consultant as Coco, Lalo Alcaraz, and since that movie was a huge hit, you know from that that there won't be stereotypes. This show in addition to a Latino family, also has a kid with down-syndrome, which is perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of the show, and a ton of other characters and families of color. One of the first episodes of the show was literally about the down-syndrome kid, CJ, where they went to a pirate dinner show, where CJ wanted the opportunity to raise the flag, but a kid was giving him a hard time and he thought they had to let himself do it, which is an episode focusing around real world problems, which is incredible that they put that one out. It's not just a Hispanic show, the show features an entire community with different people of color. It's crew is also true to having Hispanic people writing and working on it, and I wouldn't know anything about Spanish culture and tradition without this show. I am an absolute fan of Spanish culture now.

This has now become my go to show and I am so addicted and happy when watching it. It definitely deserves way higher than a 6.5 in my opinion. The only thing I don't like, however, is Sergio, and some gross jokes, but that does not take away everything great from this series. I heavily recommend watching this show. Definitely give it a chance and I think it is great for the whole family.

It is so great to finally see representation in animation!
