Two days before the Dinners of Death marathon, there was an issue with rights, and Shudder thought they were going to have to drop The Hills Have Eyes (1977), substituting Madman (1981) in its place. Knowing that Michael Berryman was appearing and that Joe Bob had his information prepared, Diana Prince (Darcy, the Mail Girl) rushed to the home of one of the producers and successfully pleaded for the rights to air the film.
Initially, they'd planned to keep the autographed Michael Berryman doll on the set, but after Diana Prince (Darcy, the Mail Girl) suggested they auction it off for charity, they wound up raising over $1,100 for the Wolf Creek Sanctuary.
