Yesterday, I had no intention of watching "Nova". After all, I was reasonably familiar with the super-sonic program already. However, I found myself watching it and am glad I did, as it was fascinating throughout. Plus, since it only ended a little over a decade ago, they were able to interview many folks associated with the Corcorde and the Russian 'Concordski'.
The thrust of the program was on the creation of the super-sonic plane as well as competitors from the USSR and USA. But what made it more interesting to me was why the program, ultimately, failed....due to costs, noise concerns and more. Well worth watching and fascinating throughout.
