Director and producer Mark Helms traveled the globe to trace this one of kind game to it's roots which actually started in Europe in the 1600's with an outdoor game called "Nine Holes" played by British royalty. From here it morphed into the indoor game called "Baquetelle". In the mid 1800's, American game makers brought it inside added pins, covered it with glass and called it "Pinball" In fact, in the documentary we see a very rare actual photograph of the first ever constructed pinball machine, made by Montague Redgrave in 1871. This documentary was shot in several locations is filled with interesting stories from such Pinball legends and Richard Bueschel and Steve Kodek, Roger Sharpe and many others. Other interesting feature are the discussions and pictures of the first ever coin operated pinball machines, which all came out of Chicago from the early 1900's. To this day, the known birthplace by most Pinball fanatics will and has always been Chicago. DIrector, writer and producer Mark Helms traveled to Hollywood and shows us how Pinball has always had an odd connection and comparisons with the motion picture industry. Iconic rock stars such as "Slash" from Guns and Roses, as well as Joe Perry from Aerosmith, were interviewed about musicians common affinity for Pinball. Also major league baseball slugger, Frank Thomas, "The Big Hurt" and many other well known Pinball public figures show us through actual games and rare early drawings and photographs where Pinball has been and where it is going!
