- [Tendi is examining the exhibits on Kerner Hauze's collection vessel. She comes upon a headpiece with many dangerous-looking spikes all over it]
- Ensign D'Vana Tendi: Kahless's Fornication Helmet. Oh, that's fun. Safety first!
- Ensign Bradward Boimler: [Beckett asks Boimler what it was like serving on the Titan with Riker] Eh, it was a bunch of complex characters thrown into heavy serialized battles which always ended in mind-blowing twists and made me question the basic tenets of my reality.
- [Capt. Freeman is becoming anxious because she's trying NOT to micro-manage the away team]
- Commander Jack Ransom: Captain, it's okay if you want to check in on Lt. Kayshon.
- Captain Carol Freeman: No, no, no, no.
- [chuckles]
- Captain Carol Freeman: I can be a hands-off captain. I don't mind.
- Ensign Barnes: Captain, two escape pods just launched from the collector's ship.
- Captain Carol Freeman: What? On screen.
- [Rutherford and Tendi appear on screen, from a cramped escape pod]
- Captain Carol Freeman: [to Rutherford and Tendi] What the hell is going on?
- Ensign Sam Rutherford: The ship tried to collect us, Captain.
- Captain Carol Freeman: Where's Kayshon?
- Ensign D'Vana Tendi: [sheepishly, speaking in Tamaran metaphor and holding up the puppet Kayshon] Kayshon, when he became a puppet.
- [On the USS Titan, Capt. Riker and his officers are in the ready room discussing the Pakleds' unusual increase in power]
- Capt. William T. Riker: There's a pattern to the Pakleds' attacks on these outposts. They're after varuvian ore.
- Ensign Bradward Boimler: [juggling PADDs] Uh, s-sorry. What ore?
- Lieutenant Ottessa Warren: Varuvian. Contains minerals which become volatile at high vibratory frequencies.
- Niko: [chuckles] Those terrorists tried to use it to blow up Starbase 58.
- Ensign Bradward Boimler: Oh, uh, yeah. I think I remember reading that in one of your logs. Huh. Titan's seen a lot of action.
- Titan's Tactical Officer: Ain't weaponizing varuvian ore a bit above the Pakled's grade level?
- Capt. William T. Riker: *Way* above. Which is why Starfleet Command believes there may be another player involved. Intel says the Pakled's next target is a varuvian mining colony on Karzill IV. We'll embed an away team there disguised as miners with the goal of planting a tracking device on their shuttle.
- Lieutenant Ottessa Warren: They'll lead us right to their puppet master.
- Capt. William T. Riker: And that's when we cut the strings.
- Ensign Bradward Boimler: [writing everything down on one of his PADDs] ... cutting the strings.
- Capt. William T. Riker: You don't have to write that down.
- Ensign Bradward Boimler: [still writing] I don't have to write that down.
- [the away team escaped from one dangerous room, and has entered a room with a collection of skeletons, including a giant humanoid skeleton wearing a TOS-era blue commander's uniform hanging from the ceiling. Mariner sees Siggi, who left them to fend for themselves in the previous room]
- Ensign Beckett Mariner: [sarcastically] Hey! Thanks for helping out back there. You couldn't lend a frickin' tentacle?
- Collector Siggi: Get your lousy hands off me.
- [Walks away, as Kayless's Fornication Helmet falls out of Siggi's vest]
- Ensign D'Vana Tendi: [gasp] . Kayless's sex helmet?
- [angrily]
- Ensign D'Vana Tendi: You took it! That's what set off the ship! This is all your fault, you pervert!
- [nicely]
- Ensign D'Vana Tendi: No judgment.
- Collector Siggi: Oh, save it, Orion. I don't got to answer to nobody but me.
- [dons helmet]
- Collector Siggi: That's how I got on top, that's how I'm staying on top.
- [Starts backing away from the away team towards a laser beam sensor along the floor]
- Lieutenant Jet: Don't move.
- Collector Siggi: [scoffs] I'm done listening to youse.
- [he crosses the laser beam, an alarm blares, and the giant skeleton drops from the ceiling right on top of Siggi]
- Ensign Sam Rutherford: [gasp] Maybe his helmet saved him?
- [the giant's skull falls on top of the rest of the skeleton, decidedly finishing off Siggi]
