Sam's Air Force contact Lieutenant Torres is based on the comic book character Joaquin Torres, who was the second person to take on the mantle of Falcon in "Captain America: Sam Wilson" #6 (published February, 2016).
In Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Sam Wilson had a conversation with Steve Rogers in which he mentioned that his bed was too soft after he returned from the war because he'd become used to sleeping on the ground. In this episode, Bucky Barnes is shown sleeping on the floor of his room with no mattress, implying he feels the same way.
Wyatt Russell's (John Walker) first ever audition was for the role of Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).
Sam Wilson says he has been working with the Air Force for six months. This means it has been at least six months since the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). Later, Bucky says that he is 106 years old, or rather he was born 106 years ago. His birthday is March 10, 1917, so this would set the story in late 2023 or early 2024. By comparison, WandaVision (2021) took place three weeks after Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) is set eight months after the blip.
Georges Batroc (Georges St-Pierre) was last seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) hijacking the Lumerian Star, a S.H.I.E.L.D. ship used to launch the Insight satellites.
