Jonathan comes clean to Fitzgerald and Grace about his serial but insignificant adultery with adoring patients, gets bailed and tries to restore his family, still a step too far for her. Franklin Reinhardt confides into daughter Grace he never trusted Jonathan but helped him financially earlier to spare her, his own marriage to her mother having been a sham as he was a serial adulterer. Henry's words are twisted absurdly to allow the school board suspending him from Reardon, but Franklin reminds the principal how much he has donated to the school and can turn way worse on ingrates, given his resources and rich man lack of scruples.
