The Oslo Municipality had many holiday colonies at Slagen, Hudøy and many other places, where children from the city could vacate in the summer. Tuberculosis-infested children did go to Dal that had an own holiday colony. Some children were also sent for holiday stays on farms. Every summer, over 5,000 children received a stay at municipal or private holiday colonies.—chribren
