There were an all right amount of laughs. Some enjoyable silly gags such as Peter learning how to surf, the slinky searching for porn, Peter's friends getting kicked out of Quagmire's house for saying things like "I don't want to have sex with you" or "I think we should talk". Just another glimpse into his shady nature. Peter peeing out Skittles with a guy standing next to him like a urinal stall was a nice visual joke. In general, although it's nothing new, the main plot about Peter trying to get slim was enjoyable.
I also enjoyed the mystery aspect of the subplot, where Brian suspects Lois has an affair when he sees her writing about some man and mixing in details from her mundane life. Him dressing up as the described lover was predictable, but I still found it funny how he tried to show how great he is with animals, only to get kicked repeatedly instead. The cherry on top was Brian's imitation of Daffy Duck. This show always nails the references to Looney Tunes. Stewie getting mixed up in situations he didn't expect such as being mistaken for a worker at a grocery store or as a child labor worker when he dresses up in an Asian outfit was amusing too.
Peter as skinny looked creepy as fuck. He looked like he was made out of cheese and fried fat. It's almost as bad as skinny Brian from The Book Of Joe.
Where the episode falters is with some of the overlong scenes. I don't mind them if there's only one in an episode (like Peter trying to pick up the bullfrog in Long John Peter), but this time they had what, four? The guy explaining to Peter why pizza's unhealthy made me chuckle at first, but then it felt like it would never end. Not to mention the main plot with Peter being thin never had a resolution. What happens? Does he stay skinny? Does he go back to normal? Give us something at least! The subplot didn't end all that well either, with an out-of-place parody of afterschool specials where Chris talks about the importance of reading.
In general, Family Guy Lite is a "lite" enough time with solid jokes, but the wonky pacing and poor ending drags my score down a little. I give this a 7.6/10.
