Idols, idols, idols. Bring me more idols.

Warning: Spoilers
This reunion is actually better-than-average (at least Jeff speaks to nearly everyone in the cast, which rarely happens!), and most of the cast looks awesome, but wow does season 39 look bad! Two former players who really have no business being on a season again unless it's All-Winners, will NOT be competing but WILL be hijacking the screen time of the new players of the season. Blergh. Also, going by the title ("Island of Idols"), look for the new production's pet (ala Rick Devens in season 38) to keep finding and playing idols recklessly at each tribal, because they can be assured that the production will always have a new one planted for them the next morning. Sounds thrilling 🙄

Better-than-average reunion show

Warning: Spoilers
I mean, at least Jeff gets to speak to nearly every member of the cast (who look AMAZING by the way, Gavin's hairstyle notwithstanding), which rarely happens in reunions anymore, and there are no former players saying their piece. BUT....season 39 (of which we see a promo at the end) looks unappetizing: Boston Rob and Sandra have NO business being in a Survivor season again unless it's All-Winners, and despite not competing for the million in season 39, you can bet they will be hijacking the screen time of the newbies. Also, the title "Island of Idols" sounds scary actually: the last thing Survivor needs at this moment is more idols planted and re-planted, to the point where a player (usually a "lovable underdog" / production's pet) can find a new one in every round of the game, play it, and then immediately go back and look for another one, play it...and so on. Let's hope they cut down on the idols instead - but the title (yes I understand it's a double entendre referring to Rob and Sandra as well) does not give us much hope.
