- Kids' Canada was one of the iterations of the interstitial block on CBC. This particular series ran from 2007-2014 and featured a Sesame Street-like atmosphere with puppets interacting with people in various sets. The concept was several sets which represented regions of Canada, each with their own 'home' puppet character. Patty Sullivan and Sid Bobb were the human hosts. The sets extended from Peggy's Cove, where Captain Claw made his home, Kensington Market in Toronto where Mamma Yamma lived, the Chateau Frontenac where Saumon de Champlain resided, and a tree-fort in the forests of B.C. where Patty and Sid had a home base. Featuring nearly 1000 interstitial segments focused on education and music, Kids' Canada was very well received and was nominated for numerous awards during its run from 2007-2014.—Shereen Ali
- Patty Sullivan as main host, with Sid Bobb as co-host. Puppet characters featured various parts of Canadian culture, each representing a different Canadian region: Mamma Yamma (Ali Eisner) is a yam that represents Ontario. She is the owner of a fruit and vegetable stand in Toronto's Kensington Market. Drumheller (Phil McCordic) is a skeleton dinosaur that represents Western Canada. He is from the archaeological site near Drumheller, Alberta. Saumon de Champlain (Pierre Paquette) is a fictionalized salmon version of Samuel de Champlain that represents Quebec, who lives at the Château Frontenac in Quebec City. Captain Claw (Bruce Hunter) is a lobster that represents Atlantic Canada. He is a lighthouse keeper in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. Canada is a green, abstract animated representation of the map of the eponymous country. Each of the puppets were used in a variety of scenes in their local setting, typically educational in nature. Mamma Yamma (Ali Eisner) would frequently host cameos by visiting celebrities such as musicians or Canadian television personalities; a compilation album of live performances, Mamma Yamma and Friends, was released in 2008.
