Gwen Stacy : Let's do things differently this time. Like, so differently. His name is Miles Morales. He was bitten by a radioactive spider, and he's not the only one. [web slings Miles' sketchbook]

[stops on a drawing of herself, Miles hangs his head, embarrassed and sighs]
Gwen Stacy : I missed you, too.
Miles Morales : Okay. So what are you doing here? I... I mean I thought I'd never see you again.
Gwen Stacy : Wanna get outta here?
Miles Morales : I'm... grounded.
Gwen Stacy : Bummer.
[somersaults out the window]
Gwen Stacy : Is Spider-Man grounded?

Gwen Stacy : I never found the right band to join, so I started my own, with a few old friends. You want in?

Gwen Stacy : In every other universe, Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man.
[Miles looks at her and moves his hand closer to hers. Gwen notices this]
Gwen Stacy : And in every other universe, it doesn't end well.
[Miles re-traces his hand]

Miguel O'Hara : You're the original anomaly!
[Miles glitches as Gwen and Peter climb up the train]
Gwen Stacy : Miguel!
Miguel O'Hara : The spider that gave you your powers, wasn't from your dimension. It was never supposed to bite you!
Gwen Stacy : Miguel don't!
Miguel O'Hara : There's a world out there with no Spider-Man to protect them, because it bit you instead. You're not supposed to be Spider-Man!
Miles Morales : No, you're lying! I'm Spider-Man!
[Miguel cuts through two webs Miles shoots and grabs him by the chest]
Miguel O'Hara : You're a mistake!
[He slams Miles onto the roof of the train, pinning him down]
Miguel O'Hara : If you hadn't been bit, your Peter Parker would've lived! Instead he died, saving you. He would've stopped the collider before it ever went off, Spot wouldn't exist, and none of this would've happened. And all this time, I have been the only one holding it all together.
Peter B. Parker : Miguel, go easy on him!
Miguel O'Hara : You don't belong here. You never did.

Miles Morales : How many missions have you been on together?
Gwen Stacy : Oh not that many.
Hobie Brown : A couple dozen.

Gwen Stacy : Let's do things differently this time.

Miguel O'Hara : You don't belong here. You never did.
Miles Morales : [strained] Let... me... go!
Gwen Stacy : Miguel, that's enough!
Peter B. Parker : This isn't what we talked about!
[Miles then realizes that Miguel conferred with Peter B. and Gwen about him being an "anomaly"]
Miles Morales : You talked about this? You knew? You- you all knew?
Gwen Stacy : I- I didn't know... how to tell you.
Miles Morales : [disappointed] That's why you never came to see me.
[Peter B. and Gwen seem to feel bad for Miles]
Gwen Stacy : Miles, it's for your own good!
Miles Morales : Who decides that?
[gets held down by Miguel]
Miles Morales : I'm not a kid, Gwen!
[Miguel, once again, shoves Miles onto the roof of the train]
Miguel O'Hara : That's exactly what you are. You're just a kid who has no idea what he's doing!
[Miles notices he can Venom Strike Miguel, who shoves him onto the train again]
Miles Morales : Yeah, well... I *did* lure hundreds of Spider-People away from your little clubhouse.
[Miguel gasps as the scene descends to a lower part of the train, where the Spider-People are following Miles]
Spider-Men : [clamouring]
Peter B. Parker : I guess he *did* plan this out.
Miles Morales : And... I'm about to do this.
[Miles absorbs the energy of Miguel's suit to charge his Venom Strike, confusing and somewhat scaring him]
Miles Morales : Everyone keeps telling me how *my* story is supposed to go. Nah... I'm-a do my own thing.
[Miles's Venom Strike is now fully charged]
Miles Morales : Sorry, man. I'm going home.
[Miles releases his Venom Strike on Miguel, making him scream]
Miles Morales : [tearfully] Goodbye, Gwen.
[Miles lets go of the train, sending him into freefall]
Gwen Stacy : Miles!
[Miles turns invisible as he heads for the Go Home Machine]
Peter B. Parker : I taught him how to do that, so... I gotta be a pretty good mentor to pull that off.

[Miguel breaks part of the console out of anger, after Miles activated the Go Home Machine]
Peter B. Parker : O- Okay, enough. It's not the console's fault.
Miguel O'Hara : All he had to do was listen! Why didn't he listen?
Gwen Stacy : Maybe you weren't hard enough on him!
Jessica Drew : Gwen, don't do it.
Miguel O'Hara : You let him go.
Gwen Stacy : Me?
Miguel O'Hara : You didn't catch him, Gwen.
Peter B. Parker : Okay, let's all just take a breath...
Gwen Stacy : Peter, you wanna back me up?
Peter B. Parker : Okay, well, Miguel, as the father of a daughter, and the son of a mother...
Jessica Drew : Yeah, actually stop talking.
Peter B. Parker : Okay, duly noted.

[Miguel launches himself back to the platform]
Miguel O'Hara : We tried that.
Gwen Stacy : [shakily] He's my friend.
Miguel O'Hara : Yeah, and that's the problem.
Gwen Stacy : Do you know for sure what happens if he breaks the canon?
[Miguel pauses for a second before turning around]
Miguel O'Hara : Do you wanna find out?
[to Jess]
Miguel O'Hara : I told you she was a liability.
Gwen Stacy : [shakily] You're wrong. Jess, tell him he's wrong!
Jessica Drew : [sighs] He's not.
Gwen Stacy : Are you serious right now?
Jessica Drew : I told you: you let him get away, I can't help you.
Gwen Stacy : I'm not coming.
Miguel O'Hara : You're right.
Gwen Stacy : What?
[the console grabs Gwen, forcing her into the Go Home Machine]
Gwen Stacy : What the hell?
[Gwen tries to fight the console, but to no avail]
Miguel O'Hara : Go home, Gwen.
[Gwen desperately serves her last fight, but she notices it's too late]
Gwen Stacy : We are supposed to be the good guys.
[Jess seems to feel rather bad for Gwen, as the Go Home Machine sends her back to Earth-65]
Gwen Stacy : [Margo, Lyla, Peter B. and Jess all look rather shocked by the action that Miguel took]
Miguel O'Hara : We are.
[turns around]

[Spot cuts the web with a portal and goes into the super-collider, waving goodbye to Miles and the gang]

[the super-collider blows up, and The Spot is now a lot more powerful than before]
