Somber and Well Crafted
GunnersMate31 March 2019
Sins of the Father brings us a very personal mystery for Murdoch to solve as his father and people from his family's past are front and center. Murdoch largely ignores his own potential grieving, presumes the worst of those from his past, and projects his beliefs on his coworkers. It is somber fair. However it is also a well crafted mystery and ultimately an exploration of holding grudges, repentance, forgiveness, and how we handle the sins committed by those close to us during our childhood. An episode of character growth to be appreciated.

Warning: Spoilers
Of course Julia is right about a routine surgery being dangerous.... Mcant have her ever be wrong can we? But at least the murdoch side of the episode was really good.

Good episode, but...

This was a personal mystery for Murdoch, which has an emotional load that was interesting and compelling. But the mystery itself was kinda weak, not too logical. And even weaker were the Julia subplot about a breast reduction surgery. I don't get it what the show intended with that, I think it only distracted of the main story.
