Ignore the naysayers, funny as!

It's fair to say that the show hasn't been on the best of form for the last few years, but 2018's had plenty of laughs. People will obviously say the jokes were tired, and have been done before, and in part that's true, but there was enough of a feel good vibe, and enough new gags to make it very watchable.

One of the most astonishing moments had to be the unveiling of Buster, talk about scrubs up well. I'm still not sold on Rory, but at least he seemed more comfortable.

Very funny indeed. 8/10

Exotic Mammy

Mrs Brown's Boys is the sit com the critics love to sneer at.

At one point this was just an old fashioned sitcom with salty language. A low audience that grew and grew.

It probably past its peak now and I felt this in the Christmas special. It just looked tired.

Mrs Brown thinks she has nobbled the judges in the Christmas decoration contest organised by Father Damien. By persuading Hillary to be a judge she thinks she has got rid off one of her competitors.

Meanwhile Mrs Brown tries to get to grips with an Amazon Alexa type of gift given to her by Buster. It is called the Maggie and it seems the problem was the voice was on the posh English setting. Maggie comes on her own when the setting changes to an Irish accent where the attitude becomes a bit rough.

The funniest moment is when Buster's blind date comes into the pub.
