Spoiler!

--- That conversation between Mark and Ruth in the hot tub gave me goosebumps.

Great job by the writers, made it quite real and relatable.

Hot Tub Club

Warning: Spoilers
So far Season 3 just isn't quite getting it done. Sam and Ruth's adventure was entertaining and the hot tub romance scene was believable, but just about everything else did not work.

The Bash and Brittanica relationship is unbelievably boring.

S3 Feels like Fan-Fiction
TheFearmakers21 September 2022
The third season is a lot like... something like... something liken to, say... a fan-fiction series... And it would be fans of the first two seasons who are fans of a show about... actually about... women's wrestling... which is completely gone at this point... And that fan gets an idea, like, "Hey, what if these wonderful characters went to... VEGAS! YES!!!"

At one point during the rudimentary stages of rehearsing the Vegas show in the previous episode, Sam's going over the steps, and he says, "and wrestle... wrestle... wrestle..." as if he were basically brushing it off as something on the periphreal, and the sad thing is, that's what's happened here...

As a fan it's still a great show; however I think wrestling should have been more important, and getting prepared for a live Vegas show isn't as suspenseful as getting ready for something televised, and that HAS TO BE GOOD OR ELSE...

There's simply no more OR ELSE here... It's really become a kind of Wrestling Show version of another 80's staple, CHEERS, with Sam... perfectly named... and the cute but klutzy, brainy, over-thinking Diane... or rather, Ruth... The entire season is more about them almost hooking up than all the girls having their own particular problems... It's no longer an ensemble... Not really..

Anyhow, re-watching this series means that once you get to this season, it's like basking in the GLOW (like that?) of what's already shined.

It doesn't even feel like the same series.

When you watch the first two season of the series, you enjoyed the experience and even felt like you were watching a part of people you knew. But something has went wrong in this third season as it feels like these people are nearly brand new and you are being introduced to them for the first time. Things have changed and not for the better.

The only thing that was even remotely interesting was the relationship between Ruth and Sam. But the writers tried to force the viewer into other relationships by showing sex scenes, with others, trying to produce some interest. Get back to the fun of the series. Get back to what makes the some interesting--The Women. It's turning into Payton Place- and that was cancelled many years ago.

The new season still hasn't started yet.

Up until this point the whole thing feels like the kind of spinoff that needs diehard fans to get through it. It offers everything you've come to love about the series, but it's lost it's centerpiece which was a failing tv-show with a ridiculous theme. It's not about a casino hotel that's little more than the glamerous background for a plot that for the past 2 episodes has barely left classic soap territory.

The writing is no longer top-notch, and the cast can't pull it off on their own. It's like watching them driving a rollercoaster, screaming and yelling and laughing and crying, while you can see the damn thing waiting in the station.

This should be a lot better.

Thank you Glow

Warning: Spoilers
I love "Glow". It is one of my favourite series. And I kind of agree with the other reviewers on that this season could have been a bit more fun and relatable as it feels a bit out of touch and soapy. But I had to give it a 10 because it is the first time in my life that I have watched a tv series and/or film where they mention how bad migraines are. I am a chronic migraine patient, so I know about this first hand. Migraines are not just bad headaches, they are a terrible condition that involves getting headaches, yes, but they are much more handicapping than just that unfortunately... They are a disabling condition that leaves you bedridden for as long as they last. You don't just feel sick, you can not think straight, walk straight, move or speak coherently, scrutinise, read and sometimes even see. And we still have to work and perform our daily duties and take it in the chin because we've got no choice... the symptoms are just not noticeable like those that come with colds and chills... It is rough, and it's a tough life. It can be lonely. And it can lead to severe depression... I suffer from more than 15 attacks per month. So thank you "Glow" (it's a shame that I cannot link my appreciation to a name) for acknowledging us, in that wee lovely sign of support. Keep up the good work :)
