Timm mentions a "Wobani run". This was the planet on which Jyn Erso was being detained at the start of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and the name Wobani is an anagram of "Obi-Wan".
The computer terminal on Chief Hyne's desk in the Preox-Morlana Security office appears to be built on a Tandy TRS-80, Model 3 or Model 4, a microcomputer sold by Radio Shack in the early 80s. This follows the trend from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) of the use of old artifacts as futuristic elements of the environment, like the Moulinex juice extractor that can be seen at the beginning of the movie in the kitchen of the Ersos' home.
When B2-EMO is first introduced, there is part of some Aurebesh text visible on a building. The large letters, which are only partially visible, translate to "Ferrix De-" while the smaller text underneath those read "Speeders Available". This building returns in the third installment, in which indeed some speeders are procured from it.
The Aurebesh text visible at Nurchi's store translates to "Screens". When Timm is following Bix, other signs have Aurebesh text meaning "Droid Parts" and "Service". The text outside Salman Paak's shop translates to "Repairs"
During the opening sequence, when the doorman is explaining the rules of the establishment to Andor an alien voice can be heard saying "Ooba... ooba". This is a reuse of the voice of the maternity droid seen on Polis Massa in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).
