- In one of the flashbacks a man is heard relieving himself; we see him squatting (no nudity).

- Characters die in a variety of ways, including: shot, stabbed, crushed by falling weights, hit by lighting, blown apart by explosions, drowned, executed by a firing squad, burnt alive, and so on. These deaths are not seen in their entirety. The player hears audio that leads to a character's death, and then explores a frozen scene showing the instant they died. Many of these scenes can be rather gruesome, with blood and gore being frequent.

- There are topless mermaids in several scenes. Their breasts and nipples are shown, but due to the game's visual style they are not very detailed.
Violence & Gore
- The game is essentially a multiple murder mystery with supernatural elements. The player can experience the last seconds of life of many characters (we see a freeze-frame of the moment they die and hear the last sounds/voices they heard). Some characters die of natural causes but many are killed (shot, knifed, bashed in the head, even crushed by the tentacles of a kraken). While the presentation isn't particularly graphic due to the stylistic choices of the game (no animations, black-and-white), the content itself is therefore quite violent, focusing on the (often gruesome) deaths of dozens of characters.
- A prominent character commits suicide by shooting himself.
- Early in the game, the player encounters the body of a man who was torn apart. Listening to his death, the player can hear him being ripped in half as he screams in agony. His body is then shown with his entrails flying off.
- A man's head is blown off by a point-blank gunshot.
- A man is torn apart by a cannon blast. His remains can be found.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The player must experience flashbacks showing the deaths of many characters: most of them are brutally murdered (we see a freeze-frame of the moment they die and hear the full audio of their deaths, which can be disturbing as they often scream in terror and agony, and can sometimes be accompanied by the sounds of crushing bones or ripping flesh). There are also some menacing supernatural creatures who kill crew members in gruesome ways.
- The ship is attacked by a giant, kraken-like monster. Its tentacles are seen hovering over the ship and grabbing several characters.
- Several characters die impaled by spikes thrown by monsters (giant crabs mounted by mysterious riders).
