Tsunami (2020) : The victims of the tsunami waves
dpolwatte18 May 2020
Tsunami (2020) film reflects on the victims of the 2004 tsunami disaster that impacted Sri Lanka in an artistic and cinematic manner.

The filmmaker using this film as a tool to communicate the message, that in front of nature everyone is equal and racism has no place, is successful.

Somarathna Dissanayake's newest film has also been able to capture his previous style of children's films and is also a successful one at that.

Overall rating - 3/5

Tsunami.... really??

This film is about a girl who disappeared from the tsunami. The film was interesting in the first 10 minutes, but the rest of it was so boring. Some of the acting was not good though. Great effort by the team but according to the powerful title, the director could have done better.

Horrible

First of all "Does this review contain SPOILERS?" option is useless for this movie because there's nothing to spoil anyways.

There's some effort put into this movie (sri lankan level) for the first tsunami part but CGI is also not in the current standards. After that theres nothing new just typical sri lankan movie. Nothing interesting and can see what's coming from a mile away literally you know what it is by just watching the advertising for this movie.

And I don't have to point out the stupid scenes because theres alot. For an example a girl who lived years with one set of parents suddenly decide she gonna love and live with a set of strangers that she never met. Lol.
