Kevin from the Other Dimension: There was a point where we began to ask, was there more we could be doing to expand on our image. Much like Garth Manor, Eddie Rotten wanted to put on horror film events to get us some publicity, which ended up being Dead Fest at the Howard Theater, which we will go into later. Eddie Rotten also wanted to be a part of a horror movie, and he wasn't particular which one. Being that we had the connections in the horror community to get makeup artists and so forth, I thought I could do my part to help develop it. Unfortunately, being able to write whatever I want on a cartoon like Bad Goddess is not the same as writing a film that has to take place in reality. I asked Robert Chaney if he had any start up ideas. He told me about one, which I will not give away the plot or title here, because that's his idea. But I can describe what happened. His idea was going to be this epic horror epidemic film. Well, to make that a reality, your movie needs to have a lead point of view to tell the story from, some actors to get bumped off as the victims, our ZLTV cast and crew would cameo as the villains, with Eddie Rotten would be the main baddie. And we would need a real desolate town location and place that could pass as a club. It would basically be a cheap low budget monster effects movie like Waxwork, and I wanted the 1980s cover band Calling Jack Burton to biographically play fictionalized versions of themselves to be the lead victims, sort of like my own personal Scooby Doo Gang. The idea is that I would pull a Terry Jones and write each death based on the monster effects ideas that the special effects artists would give me, which is exactly what they did on the later Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Robert Chaney liked my idea, but refused to acknowledge it as the idea he had in his head, and could not elaborate to me how to fix the problem. Well, I don't know what to tell him, I'm not a mind reader. And the next writer that tries to tackle his idea won't be either. His current project is That Chaney Show, which appears to be more of the variety acts he did on ZLTV mixed with on location interviews. More power and success to him, I'm looking forward to it when it airs next year. However, I don't think any of them were really dedicated to this horror film project, they just tossed out the idea as wishful thinking, and I couldn't do this on my own without their input. That's the problem with commitment, you actually have to commit, and with Eddie Rotten and Robert Chaney constantly scouting and programming acts for Zombie Life TV's weekly show, this just wasn't going to happen. In the end, after Zombie Life TV had finished it's run, a few of our cast members ended up playing extras in a local zombie movie called The Plague Rages. But if they had only committed to this project, then ZLTV could have had their own horror film that was custom designed to show off their talents, instead of playing nothing extra roles in someone else's film.
Kevin from the Other Dimension: We had several tarot card readers on the show. Reinero De Valois was a repeat guest several times. He always wears the same get-up, a black suit and white hat, and has a sort of soft female voice. Nero is extremely talented and well studied in his craft, but has been repeatedly harassed about his gender identity so many times that he puts his foot down and blocks people online immediately when the subject or flirtation comes up, and will even walk away from a performance if necessary. I actually had Nero in mind for a surprise villain role in that abandoned horror film project I just mentioned. One of the funniest episodes, features the Vampire Court of Austin with Nero in attendance. The sight of Vampires on Public Access talking about a secret vampire club hidden in Austin, that's by invitation only, had us breaking down laughing in the control room. That was the episode where I met my future collaborator Saul Ravencraft, also a tarot card reader, we'll get to him later.
Kevin from the Other Dimension: Jeffrey Lorde is also well practiced in this craft. How do I know this? While we were setting up for one of the episodes where Jeffrey was to be guest starring, he set his Tarot Cards down on the counter of the control room. When I was in the room alone with them, I took a quick peek, then put them back exactly the way they were. When Jeffrey entered the room, he was completely normal, then broke down into a panic attack as he felt some sort of energy that told him somebody had been messing with his cards. I apologized immediately.
Kevin from the Other Dimension: Brenda Dickerson never really has all that much to do on ZLTV except show up in his crazy drag getups, remark on what a fun time he's having, and pass out spankings like the naughty little slut that he is. But I guess that's all he really needs to do... mix in with an eclectic cast. Brenda was a welcome family presence on set, and became our mascot, even getting a Zombie Life tattoo on camera. We would later go on to be leading actor/actress in a majority of my documentaries, a collaboration of which I am deeply proud to be a part of. Watching Brenda front and center in a movie is just entertaining as f**k.
