The right touch

Warning: Spoilers
This consists of interviews with the cast and crew, all of whom have something to add within their area of expertise(and there is a very clear love of what they're working on), clips from the movie(and the first three), behind-the-scenes footage, and incomplete effects shots.

It's 10 minutes long. This is found on my library's copy of The Predator. It spoils a lot of the film, and so will this review so that I can go into more detail.

They talk about Shane Black being in the first movie and how that came to be. How much they loved the original, what their favourite aspects and elements are and such(the huge muscles, themselves imitating the greeting between Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers with friends, etc). Shane and Fred Dekker teaming back up after 30 years since the last time they worked together after the former invented the 80s action genre. Trying to show different predators. References to the earlier movies including casting Jake Busey, using easter eggs but keeping otherwise to a modern tone for today's audiences. Making another war film that doesn't celebrate war but the camaraderie between the men, making sure that the audience cares and is upset whenever one of them dies(for my money, they nailed that). Black being an actor's director, and making unpredictable films, subverting tropes. Everyone wants to see the future being on the cutting edge of adventure. Knowing to make just enough fun of the genre. Not wanting to linger on the CG creature but wanting more of a documentary feel a realistic feel to the monsters.

I recommend this to any fan of the series. 8/10
