- The final fight against the Chronicoms begins. A familiar face returns.
- The S.H.I.E.L.D. team takes on the Chronicoms and Nathaniel in final battle, after bringing them back to the original timeline. Fitz and Jemma are reunited, Daisy fights the man who killed her mother, and afterward the team starts a tradition.—Gislef
- Fitz says that he came from the original timeline, and the only way they could save the original timeline was for the team to survive the new one. He and Jemma hoped the team would survive long enough to give them the key to save their timeline: Kora. The team confirms that Kora survived, but she's with the enemy, Nathaniel. Fitz insists that Kora is pivotal, and he says that they can work around it. He tells the team that they need to get the device--a Quantum Bridge--onto the Zephyr.
Coulson says that they can't abandon the people with the Chronicoms about to launch an all-out invasion. Fitz warns that lowers the changes of them saving their own timeline, but the others refuse to abandon the people in the new timeline. Deke examines the Bridge and says that if they make it large enough, they can bring the Chronicom ships with them. Fitz agrees that the NYC power grid can provide the power, but someone would have to stay behind and turn it on. Daisy figures that it doesn't matter because it's their last mission together, and Jemma says that Enoch told them it was before he died. Fitz admits that it's true.
Daniel says that he'll stay because he belongs there. Deke interrupts and says that he'll stay. He's the only with the scientific knowledge to repatch the power. Deke also wants Daniel and Daisy to be happy, and as long as Fitz reconnects with Jemma, they'll see him. Finally, he's a "rock guy" in the timeline, and tells everyone to get to it.
The team take the Bridge apart and load it onto the Zephyr. At the safehouse, Deke has the SHIELD agents patch in the power grid. The Zephyr heads for the ships, and Mack tells Deke over the radio to watch over all of them. Deke says that he will, and Mack thanks him for everything. They activate the Bridge and transport the Zephyr and the Chronicom ships to the original timeline. Gamble asks Deke if he's the guy in charge now, and Deke says that he is.
In the time void, Fitz tells the team that he needs to take it slow with Jemma or her mind might collapse. He asks Jemma to tell him a story, and describes how Jemma and her father looked up at the stars. Jemma remembers what her favorite star is, and she remembers the star's name Alya. Fitz has her lock onto that name because that's where they went, and Jemma remembers Enoch saving their lives and telling them that they need to change the natural course of their lives forever.
-----
Enoch uses the Time Stream to project what they have to do, and the trio joins Flint and Piper on the Zephyr. He stole a copy of it and after they landed, Flint uses his powers to create a piece of the Time Monolith. Jemma piloted the Zephyr to the Alya star system and Fitz studies the Time Stream. It takes them years to complete their designs for the one path to success.
Fitz and Jemma had years together, but put off going back to their friends so they could be together. They finally jump back to the moment they left, and Jemma explains their plan to Piper. She asks Piper and Flint to guard the cylinder holding Fitz with their lives. Fitz and Jemma say goodbye, and Fitz promises his wife that for them it will only be an instant.
After donning his mask, Fitz enters the chamber to establish the link between timelines. Enoch injected Jemma with the implant so that she doesn't remember where Fitz is.
-----
Jemma remembers who Fitz is, and wonders why they did any of it. Fitz tells the others that Jemma has forgotten something more important, and he needs to tell them the truth so they make their decisions knowledgeably. He built Coulson to help them, and because they all need to work together to figure it out.
On the bridge of the main ship, Nathaniel complains that he should take a team of Hunters and crush the agents. Sibyl points out that it seems he can't control anything, and Nathaniel says that he was moments away from "saving" the world. The Chronicom says that there's a high percentage they're going to the original timeline where the Chronicoms are already attacking Earth. Nathaniel warns that no one knows the future anymore and walks off. He takes a team to take the imprisoned to the device to take her power.
The team go over what need to be done, and Yo-Yo and Daniel go with Fitzsimmons. First Mack has them put on masked suits to deal with unfinished business at the temple.
The Zephyr and the Chronicom ships arrive in the original timeline, and Daniel and Yo-Yo take the Quinjet to the temple. The rest of the team power down the Zephyr and wait for their moment. Sibyl tells her crew to find the Zephyr and destroy it,
The masked team of four land at the temple where Jemma and Enoch are waiting. Jemma thanks them for coming and leads them into the nearby temple. Remaining anonymous in their suits, the team helps the past team set everything up and then leave.
Sibyl's crew spot the past-Zephyr on Earth, and Sibyl has her people open fire. Melinda takes the present-Zephyr in, while the Chronicom blast takes the temple out while the past-Zephyr flies away. In the cylinder, Fitz is transported away by the sub-atomic field.
Melinda docks the Zephyr with the lead Chronicom ship. The team board the Chronicom ship.
Sibyl doesn't believe Zephyr was destroyed. She figures that the team always beats the odds despite the percentages.
The team take out the Hunters that come to investigate their intrusion. Daisy tells the others to go on, and Mack and Coulson continue on taking out any Hunters in their path. Sibyl and her Hunters find Coulson and Sibyl grabs Coulson by the throat.
Nathaniel confronts Daisy after she takes out the last Hunter, and he says that he's honored to be the last enemy she faces as his eyes light up with Kora's radiation powers.
The other team arrives at the Lighthouse, and Yo-Yo fights her way past the Hunters. They get to the command center and seal the doors in. Jemma remembers everything and tells Fitz that she knows why they did all of it and what they're fighting for.
Nathaniel blasts Daisy, who dodges and blasts him down. He boasts of killing Jiaying, and he and Daisy use their powers on each other. They get close enough to fight hand-to-hand, and Nathaniel blasts Daisy down.
Mack gets to the chamber holding the drained and unconscious Kora, and frees her.
On the ship's bridge, Sibyl says that she can control the Hunters via her mind and Coulson is next. Coulson tells her that Fitzsimmons are in the Lighthouse. Sibyl, satisfied, gives the authorization for the Hunters to go in. Coulson tells her that they just needed her authorization, and Melinda drops in from an air vent and attacks the Hunters. She and Coulson fight.
Nathaniel continues to beat Daisy.
Coulson and Melinda take out the last Hunter together. Mack arrives with the unconscious Kora and warns that she might be too weak to boost the authorization signal to Earth. Coulson tells Kora that they're fighting for the very thing that gives them strength, and she tells the trio that she can do it.
More Hunters head through the Lighthouse and try to break into the command center. Fitz aligns the antennas to receive the boosted signal.
As Kora powers up, Coulson tells her that they're giving the Chronicoms empathy. Melinda puts her hands into the Time Stream. Kora powers the ship to booster the authorization signal.
The Hunters enter the command center and prepare to shoot everyone down. The amplified beam strikes the Lighthouse, and the Hunters lower their guns.
Daisy manages to take Nathaniel down.
Kora collapses from the strain and Mack catches her.
Yo-Yo asks the Hunters if they're friends or enemies. The leader says that they're friends, as they've always been, and drops his gun.
The team gets to the room where Daisy and Nathaniel are fighting. As Nathaniel recover, Coulson calls to Daisy and Mack tells her that they have to let Daisy do her part no matter the cost. Daisy tells Nathaniel that Kora has purged all of the Chronicom data from Earth. When Nathaniel says that she can't kill him without killing herself, Daisy tells him that's the idea. She grabs his arm and blasts him back, knocking him into a power cell. The Zephyr departs as the Chronicom ship blows up, and the other nearby Chronicom ships going up in a chain reaction.
Daisy's body floats into space, and the Zephyr crew find her and bring her aboard. Kora infuses her sister with her own radiation powers, reviving Daisy. Coulson says that's what they were fighting for.
Fitz and the others return to the cylinder, and reveals that he isn't in it. Piper wonders if they were guarding it for nothing, and Fitz says that they were guarding their everything. Jemma goes to the back of the cylinder, opens it, and finds their daughter Alya inside. The girl greets her mother, and the two embrace. Jemma breaks into tears, and remembers that she and Fitz had a child and raised her during their time together. Fitz sits with them as Jemma hugs Alya.
One Year Later
Coulson arrives at the bar, and Daisy greets him. They sit down on chairs, and Yo-Yo and Melinda join them. Fitzsimmons arrive next, and Coulson admits that he chose the venue. Mack arrives last and says there was a situation in Moscow that needed his attention, and he can't tell them because it's confidential. Yo-Yo says that she's on assignment tracking an 084, and Mack tells the others that Yo-Yo is their most decorated agent.
Melinda says that she hates her new profession, and it's the first time in her life she's ever felt so exhausted. Fitz sympathizes, and he and Jemma talk about Alya growing up and their retirement. Daisy says that things are going well between her and Daniel, and admits that he's a dork. She asks Coulson what he's been doing, and he says that he's going to see the world. Melinda, Daisy, and Mack all say that they could use him after his sabbatical.
The team have to go their separate ways, and Jemma suggests that they making getting together each year a tradition. Mack agrees, pointing out they've gone through so much together. They admit that they miss Deke, but are sure they'll meet him again someday. Yo-Yo drops her virtual projection first and returns to her mission. She's in a car with Piper and a computerized LMD of Davis, and the two of them are bickering. Yo-Yo gets out of the car and speeds off to the compound they're infiltrating.
Melinda asks Coulson to swing by the Academy and tell some stories to the newcomers. He says that Melinda might be seeing him, and Melinda drops her virtual projection. She's at the Coulson Academy, and goes to her lecture with Flint.
Fitz and Jemma return home to be with Alya. Mack confirms that Coulson got his going-away present, tells Coulson and Daisy to both be careful out there, and drops the virtual projection. He's aboard a helicarrier where he's working as SHIELD director.
Daisy and Coulson are left alone. She says that it's not the same without their former team, and Coulson agrees. Coulson asks how it's going with Daisy's new recruit, and Daisy says that she's doing great despite all she's gone through. Daisy agrees to call Coulson when she gets back, and she drops her virtual projection. She's on a spaceship with Daniel and her new team, and says that her old team is good. Kora calls them up to the cockpit to see the nebula they're passing, and they agree that it's beautiful.
Outside, Coulson opens the "package" that Mack sent him. It's a set of keys, and when Coulson activates the alarm, a duplicate of Lola beeps. He gets in, puts on his sunglasses, and drive off.
