The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been one of my favourite Netflix series to watch these past few years. It came as a shock to me when it was announced that Part 4 would be the last of this Spellman-filled saga, especially with it being one of the more well received Netflix Originals, that being said I made peace with it knowing that the creators were given time to wrap it up on their own terms and give us a satisfying ending... or so I thought.
I don't know what happened? The last series had so much potential to elevate itself as a standout conclusion, with the Eldritch Terrors being a interesting and gripping thread to weave the final episodes into one another.
Ultimately the final episode ate away at my hopes of a satisfying ending, instead the creators pulled a cheap stunt in hopes of shocking us, and it did, just not in the way I'm assuming they intended. I'm honestly shocked that they did what they did, not just because it pulls itself away from the core themes that they themselves weaved into the fabric of this entire show, but also because it seems to glorify what shouldn't.
However terrible the ending was needless to say that overall this series has incredible talent going for it and I hope that these young and promising Actors will go on to do great things.
