- Newlywed Vision brings his bride Wanda home and carries her over the threshold of their new home. After he phases through the door and leaves Wanda behind, Vision opens the door and brings his bride in.
Later in the kitchen, Wanda is using her magic to put the plates away. Vision comes in and Wanda accidentally breaks a plate into his head. She offers to make him breakfast, and Vision points out that he doesn't eat. Neither one of them can remember the special day that is marked on the calendar, and Vision heads off to work at the office, and Vision dons his human face before leaving.
There's a knock at the front door, and Wanda answers it to find her neighbor Agnes there. Agnes welcomes Wanda to the neighborhood and Wanda introduces herself. Wanda assures Agnes that she's married to a human man, and he'll be home later for a special occasion. She finally figures that it's their anniversary, but doesn't remember how long it's been. Agnes suggests that Wanda do something special, and goes to get a magazine with an article she read.
At Computational Services, Vision is working at his desk and gives forms to Norm, his co-worker who requested them. He asks Norm what they do there, but Norm doesn't know. He points out that Vision can process the forms faster than anyone else. Vision admits that he's on edge because he can't remember what is special about the day.
Their boss, Arthur Hart, comes in, and tells Vision that he and Mrs. Hart are looking forward to that evening. Vision figures that's the special occasion, and Hart points out that the last new employee, Phil Jones, who provided the dinner provided paltry entertainment. Jones is on the way out of his door, newly unemployed. Hart tells Vision that his future in the company depends on how the dinner goes.
Back at the house, Agnes reads the article to Wanda. Wanda can't remember anything about how or when she and Vision got married, and Wanda asks what the article says about "seduction techniques". Vision calls and tells Wanda that he's nervous about the dinner. He warns that there's a lot riding on it, and it could be the end if it doesn't go right. Vision assumes that Wanda knows what he's talking about, and they hang up.

That night at the house, Vision brings the Harts in. The lights are out and candles are lit, and Vision goes to the kitchen to find Wanda. Wanda comes in, wearing a negligee, assumes that Hart is Vision, puts her hand over his eyes from behind, and says "Guess who?" Vision comes back in and turns on the lights, and Wanda realizes that she's flirting with the wrong man. Covering quickly, Vision says that it's his wife's traditional Sokovian greeting of hospitality. He says that Wanda is European, and Mrs. Hart is thrilled. The couple pass off the negligee as a stylish European dress, and Wanda leads Vision into the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Wanda and Vision tell each other what is going on. Vision figures that the heart on the calendar is an abbreviation for Hart. Wanda uses her magic to change into a housewife's clothing, saying she has a better idea.
Vision goes out and talks to the Harts, while Wanda calla Agnes over with some food and cooking utensils. She drops a pot, and the trio in the living room hear it. Mrs. Hart goes to help, pointing out there are no snacks laid out for them. Vision loudly says that Wanda is fine, and Wanda, hearing him, quickly gets Agnes out and gets her out the back door. Wanda then uses her magic to make dinner.
Mrs. Hart hears the noise and tries to go to the kitchen, "sensing a domestic emergency". She opens the shutters, and Vision starts singing to distract the Harts before they see what Wanda is doing. Distracted, Mrs. Hart doesn't notices everything floats in the air, and Wanda closes the shutters before Mrs. Hart looks back. Vision grabs a ukulele and suggests that they have singalong.
Wanda has trouble cooking the chicken. In the living room, Vision and Mrs. Hart sing 'Old MacDonald'. Mr. Hart is not amused. In the kitchen, Wanda panics and curses, sounding like "Diane'. Vision tells the Harts that "Diane" is her pet name for him, and goes to the kitchen. He startles Wanda, who throws the lobsters out the window. She tells him to finish tenderizing the meat while she goes to entertain the Harts.
Vision pounds the meat loudly with a tenderizer helmet. Wanda makes loud noises to keep the Harts from hearing and going into the kitchen, just as Agnes arrives with the front door with upside-down cake for desert. The couple quickly slam the door shut so the Harts don't realize someone is providing the food, and tell the Harts that Agnes is the mailman.
Wanda goes back to the kitchen, and Mrs. Hart grows faint with hunger. Hart suggests that Vision might not be management material, while Wanda levitates the breakfast she made earlier out of the kitchen onto the dinner table. Mrs. Hart assumes that it's European, and Vision proposes a toast to his wife and to the Harts. Everyone settles down to eat and Mrs. Hart asks about their background. The couple don't remember any of it, and Mr. Hart asks why they came there.
Mr. Hart chokes on his food, and Mrs. Hart laughingly tells him to stop. He falls on the floor, still choking, and Vision kneels down, phases his hand into Hart's throat, and takes out the piece of food. He helps Hart up, and Hart looks at his wristwatch and says that they have to leave. Mrs. Hart says that they had a lovely time, gives Wanda a "Sokovian gesture of farewell", and Mr. Hart tells Vision that Vision made him promote and they'll talk later about Vision's promotion. One of the lobsters Wanda threw out the window is on the front door, and Mrs. Hart assumes that it's a European doorknocker.
Wanda and Vision sigh in relief, and Vision resumes his android face. They sit on the couch and Wanda points out that they don't have an anniversary or a song or wedding rings. Vision suggests that today be their anniversary, and Wanda makes rings for them, and they kiss.
