Five years after Parks and Recreation wrapped its run, Chris Pratt is plotting his return to the small screen: The actor will star in and executive-produce the conspiracy thriller The Terminal List, based on Jack Carr’s novel of the same name.
The series — written by David Digilio (Strange Angel) and directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), who both serve as EPs — follows Navy Seal Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. “Reece returns home with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability,” per the official synopsis. “However, as new evidence comes to light,...

Steven Universe Future Episode 8 Review
Lapis has had the most compelling arc of Steven Universe’s cast. While Steven, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl have all gotten meaty storylines that have taken up much of the show’s lengthy run, Lapis’ story has managed to be the most compelling even with only a handful of episodes fully dedicated to it. Seeing her go from an abuse victim to confronting her abuser to learning to live with Peridot, Lapis has covered a lot of ground across the series with so little time.
I’ve written before about the exemplary treatment of Lapis and this episode, like ‘Snow Day’ did with Steven, brilliantly let’s us check in on how much she’s grown. Lapis...

As affectionate as a love letter but as substantial as an infomercial, Brian Loschiavo’s “Bluebird” may be of most interest to casual and/or newly converted country music fans who have occasionally wondered about the songwriters behind the songs. There’s a better than even-money chance that anyone who’s a loyal and longtime aficionado of the musical genre already has at least a nodding acquaintance with the history and significance of The Bluebird Café, the intimate Nashville venue often cited as a launching pad for both platinum-selling superstars and behind-the-scenes tunesmiths. Director-editor Loschiavo capably balances the household names and unsung heroes in the cavalcade of interviewees who, with degrees of enthusiasm ranging from nostalgic to reverential, tell the story of an improbable landmark in an unlikely setting.
