It was almost perfect

It would have been a perfect ending to a great series if they had more scenes of gypsy and nick in court but overall, this episode was a haunting and fulfilling episode to conclude the series.

Consequences

The finale of The Act is good, but it isn't the courtroom drama I was hoping for. Gypsy contacts her biological father for medical records which leads to a powerful scene between them, one of the best scenes of the show. Mel visits her and reiterates her mother's saying, "the only way out of the fire, is through it."

The courtroom scenes are brief, showing a hearing where Gypsy pleads not guilty and a pretrial where they decide Gypsy and Nick's punishments are separate. I was hoping for an intense courtroom drama up until the final verdict. Instead we see into the night of the murder, which I think should've been shown in sequence.

Overall, The Act is a powerful true crime drama that looks into the minds of three very interesting subjects and the reaction of a community. Gypsy faces 10 years in prison while Nick was sentenced to life in prison without parole. It's a story that will pop up again once Gypsy is released. Joey King and Patricia Arquette's performances are worth seeing for yourself.

Awesome

Warning: Spoilers
The Act - Finished. Finishing my sixth grade. And what a revolting story I just watched. DeeDee even talks about Gypsy's own father. What this girl has been through with this mother since she was born is surreal. It's sad to think that in prison, it was the first time that Gypsy felt free. If I'm not mistaken, Gypsy, in 2024 (the year I'm writing), is already out of jail. When I had Instagram, in January 2024, I remember following her there, a lot of negative comments, but for me she is the only victim of all of this. It's one of those cases where, if there was just a work of fiction, we would never think that something similar would happen in real life. Miniseries started and ended on March 14, 2024. My average for this miniseries was 9.88.

Unsatisfying final episode.

We wanted to see the trial, we wanted to hear if Gypsy's story was told, in full, at court. We didn't want to see scenes we already saw. Slow, boring, unsatisfying... What a horrible ending to this show.

What a terrible final episode

Half of the episode was a super dragged out murder scene. I was waiting to see the trial and the court decision. This episode totally ruined the show.

Snooze fest, this show went downhill fast

Warning: Spoilers
This was by far the most boring episode yet. I though Ep 7 was bad but this was horrific. Such boring drawn out scenes a couple of times the huge party I was watching with either 1) got up to use restroom (never happens before), texted or played on phone, or begged to fast forward. None of these things ever happened before. This show went downhill fast. The lead actor for Nicholas tries way too hard to be creepy that it becomes boring. Everyone knows the ending, but this show lost all its appeal midway through the season as though they got new writers or something. Absolutely horrific episode full of snooze fest talking, lame attempts to make the viewer emotional and sappy music. You could skip this episode and miss nothing. Goodbye, you lose.
