Finally Back on Track
unkommon24 November 2020
With East and West, I could tell Noah Hawley had finally found his groove with this season, which has been, at best, a bit middling - nothing spectacular. These last three episodes show that this season is on par, sits with the rest. I mean, Gaetano, com'on, that's some wholly incredible script writing. There have been a lot of big plays this season, and, in conjunction with the other seasons, it's all starting to add up. I sincerely hope there is one final season to concrete the overall arc of the series, to make it all wrap up into one unified thing. This season (so far) is at least setting the premise for the north-midwest criminal enterprise (we even have Mike Milligan!) so, I think there's hope. 5 seasons is a great number to wrap the show (if not even six). but please Noah Hawley, give us more! Even if this season didn't start out as strong as the last fee seasons, it's come to be just as enjoyable, I sincerely hope it isn't the last. And I can NOT wait for the last episode.

An Amazing Penultimate Episode
Foxbarking23 November 2020
This episode is why I love Fargo so much. I know some people thought the previous episodes may have been slow. Although I don't agree, I do agree that this episode was far above any of them so far this season.

I won't give away anything. But the last scene is absolutely brilliant.

What are the odds
canavannj23 November 2020
Fargo has moments that seem extremely unlikely and completely implausible. It then has rational, ground characters react and deal with the unbelievably strange moments. That's what makes this show, and this episode, great.

Great episode

Warning: Spoilers
It was a thrilling episode and a fantastic ride The way that gaetano died might anger some people but this is typical fargo and i love it it's all about misunderstanding and unusual situations leading to unusual events so that's why i think the way that gaetano died even if it was not the greatest way to kill him of but the unpredictability made it absolutely fantastic can't wait last episode!!! P.s. You might think that the characters changed looks that is true because this episode and the episode after were filmed after the COVID-19 pandemic

Not credible
alexmihaic24 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The death of the Gaetone is not credibile. He was in many flights în Italy, he was in WW2 and he is very good With Guns. Also he is a fearless warior.

A caracter like that know how to handle a gun and don't walk With the finger on the treager.

Should have had a death as his story: big and loud.

Solid setup for the finale
rmccabe-396952 December 2020
All the surviving pieces are in place for a nice finale. I loved the interactions between the characters, some of them were hilarious and some of them were badass. All the plot lines are finally converging, solid episode all around.

Jack Huston Is An Amazing Actor
tvdefrancesco27 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen him in three other roles recently after watching him in Fargo as the OCD crooked cop. He plays Eric Rudolph, serial bomber, in Manhunt Deadliest Game, as Richard Harrow in Boardwalk Empire, and as a downright evil Confederate General/Slave Owner in Antebellum. His role in Boardwalk Empire is seriously impressive as Richard Harrow. He's missing half of his face and is wearing a phantom of the opera type of mask. The way he talks out of the side of his mouth makes you believe he is really disfigured. You can see the pain in his face and in his character as he tries to navigate the post war world and where he fits in it. I believe it's his role as Richard Harrow in Boardwalk that landed him the role in Fargo. His portrayal of Eric Rudolph was also excellent. A lunatic serial bomber and survivalist who excels at conning and manipulation. I was also legit scared of him in Antebellum. The movie was not good but he was definitely the shining light and carried it as far as he could. He was perfect in his role. And in Fargo who didn't love him as the OCD cop struggling to find whose side he's on and what he needs to do to stay alive. All the while committing some seriously heinous acts. He's becoming a powerhouse in his own right and I'm excited to see what he'll do next.

Episode 410

Warning: Spoilers
Was this the right way to end this episode, with that alliance? I don't know, but a lot of the decisions here were headscratching.

I just don't know what the show hoped to accomplish here.

I'm glad it's almost over
westhoff_justin23 November 2020
Thank God this is almost done. I can't stand any of these characters, just please move on and forget this ever happened. I loved this show so much before season 4. Also, oh my goodness gracious enough with the racism monologuing, WE GET IT. How about you actually flesh out these characters and make a compelling storyline instead hmm?

I love the characters, the actors, the story--it is everything Fargo. Chris Rock has impressed me in this role. I'm both looking forward and dreading the season finale.

More Death and Destruction
Hitchcoc24 November 2020
As we roll toward the conclusion, we are taken on a ride where people die minute by minute, in the most horrific circumstances. It's as if the house is being cleaned so the last denizens of Kansas City can grab that worthless turf. Meanwhile, Satchel walks down the road with his little dog and a new attitude that will allow him to fit in with all the messed up possibilities. I don't know how a resolution can happen in a single episode. We'll see.

Excellent as usual
plendach-7328923 November 2020
There a very few shows that I look more forward to more. To those who are disappointed, why? Because it has a large black cast? That is normally not my thing but the story is as flaky and unpredictable as other seasons. You never know who will live or die. Most other shows rely on the stars surviving which makes tense moments far less. Can't wait for the finale.

A Thoroughly Great Episode
CulvertonSmith24 November 2020
This entire season of Fargo has had a great deal of characters and plotlines that interact and interconnect in different and interesting ways. Where this particular episode succeeded for me was in how it made many of these elements come together and bring out something truly new from the season. This week's episode was jampacked with great scene after great scene, and made for some of the most memorable moments of this year's run. One scene in particular is truly brilliant for just how well it fits into Fargo's signature style of being somewhat unreal and shocking, which it is able to get away with due to the nature of it being a "True Story." This was definitely one of season four's best, and I cannot wait to see how this whole thing concludes in the finale.

Pathetic and ridiculous
Tian-330 November 2020
This one is even worse than episode 9. This is so artificially artsy, pathetic in its self-referential homage to the Coen brothers work, and what tops it all is this desperate political correctness and arrival in the mainstream.

This season is the best so far. It gets better with every episode. The script, the actors, the direction, the production elements = outstanding.

Not Brilliant
quockquock26 November 2020
It's just plain bad writing and directing. There is no way one could watch this episode and give it 10 stars... unless they were being paid to do it. This season is by far the worst and this episode is almost as bad as episode 9 of this season. It's pretty dismal. I kept watching and hoping it would get better, but it's only gotten worse.

Poor writing & bad casting ruins an interesting premise
barclayjamesandrew24 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What the writers of Fargo had, was the opportunity to continue the intelligent, and stylish writing that made the previous seasons so compelling.

They had a fantastic premise, the gangs in Kansas City battling one another.

Unfortunately, the writing simply doesn't hold up. I was looking forward to seeing these characters plot and plan against one another, but for the most part, it just didn't work.

That isn't to say there weren't any funny moments, but that dark humour that made the first season brilliant in particular, it just isn't here. Casting wise, Chris Rock, whilst he may be popular, he is a comedian in most people's minds, and he struggles to convey any believable on screen menace.

There are a number of actors who would have been much better in that role. Bokeem Woodbine, Cuba Gooding Jr, or the fantastic Terrence Howard would have been much better choices.

If you're a fan of the Fargo show, I honestly cannot recommend this season. It lacks the cast and writing that could have made it so much better.

Rock by name, Rock by acting...
alisont-2975723 November 2020
...and the actress playing Ethelreda went to the same acting school. Who chose these two "actors" to play such integral characters? A deaf & blind casting agent on the take? Their exchange of bargaining, at the end of E10 should have been tense and sharp. Instead, it was simply 😐 and 😑. And I was 😴. The only good acting came from Jason Schwartzman, Jessie Buckley and Jack Huston. I honestly thought things would pick up after the drama of E8 & 9, following a moribund E1-7, but they're just killing off the good actors one by one to leave us with Rocks and planks. This has been *such* a disappointing season; I couldn't wait for its release. Move it back to Minnesota for S5, and bring back the comedy and drop the politics. Fargo die-hards watch it for its black humour; not its politics - which is about as funny as Donald Trump winning another presidential election 😱. Noah Hawley - if you read these reviews, take heed from them - there's one heck of a theme going on with S4.

I didn't finish episode and series.
ansku-125 January 2021
I am simply not interested how it ends. Season started interesting but led nowhere except to boredom.

I got interrupted while watching this episode but don't bother to get back. What a waste.
