Slow paced but great episode, bringing in brilliant story arcs from the graphic novel
This episode is almost completely true to the source material from the graphic novel from the events and the dialogue, the only things that is new is the arc of Daryl and Carol and also the Alexandria storyline of the episode. There is a bunch of character development in the episode, every character gets meaningful dialogue and time to develop and so does the actors as they get time to do great performances. The best performances of this episode has to go down to Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Josh McDermitt, brilliantly played and just spot on performances. The episode had some great writing, Angela Kang have written and created this superb narrative that are as interesting and entertaining to experience every week.
My favorite Eugene and Negan story arc have begun, Eugene's radio which establishes something amazing that TWD have teased and we will see more of this but it's only good things. Now to Negan, this character and story arc sees him going inside the enemy lines as we saw in the last episode and we get to follow him and his loud mouth which is one thing I like about the character and how Jeffrey succeeds in playing him. I recognized a lot of dialogue but I probably missed some that is straight from the graphic novel. I've read articles about their opinions about Negan if they can forgive him or not and my thoughts about the character is that he should be forgiven. He's also one of my favorite characters both in comics and show but if I wear in the Alexandrians shoes I wouldn't really forgive him. This was a great episode, slow paced but great!
