I'm gonna be honest. I don't like this show at all, I think it's mediocre at best, and pretty bad for the most part, but suddenly we've been getting some pretty solid episodes this season. Now the 8/10 doesn't mean this episode on its own is an great. I mean for Supergirl standards it's a 8/10. On its own it's okay I guess, but this is seriously one of Supergirl's best episodes.
I didn't think Cyryer could pull it off, but he actually gives a pretty good performance as Lex Luthor. I'm surprised the writers actually let an episode like this happen. We don't even get any of the main cast this episode. Only for about a minute in the beginning and ends of the episode. That's probably why I liked it this much.
Lex is actually one of the better written chracters on Supergirl. I appreciate how they actually seemed to have tried. He's manipulative, and has this big silly plan, but it shows how smart he is, and he's one of the more accurate interpretations of Lex Luthor.
I also enjoyed the build up of the Daughter of Steel. Most of the times Supergirl barely develops their villains, but they developed her pretty well. Melissa Beonist does a pretty good job as this Russian version of Supergirl, but I feel like she should've shown a bigger difference when the Russian Supergirl tries to act like the normal supergirl.
Anyways for once I actually enjoyed and episode of Supergirl, which was nice. Supergirl finally seems to be improving.
