I recently saw this film at a film festival at it really impressed me. If you've ever felt trapped, or just expressed a desire to escape whilst having nowhere to escape to, this film will speak to you.
It's an incredible film that manages to capture a deep sense of aimlessness and futility whilst never itself feeling aimless or futile. The characters are fantastically portrayed (especially the two leads) as both deeply sympathetic and painfully frustrating.
More than anything, To Nowhere has a strong integrity to its story and characters - it never succumbs to cliché, nor does it force any moral themes or clever plot twists at the expense of its own honesty.
Overall a heartbreaking exploration of two people struggling to find meaning in their lives, that doesn't shy away from the dark places that search so often takes us.
