Alan King was director, lead actor, cinematographer, editor and sound designer for the film.
Being a huge fan of classic black and white films from the 50s and 60s, King shot the blowfly sequence in Wild Will, as a small homage to the master Alfred Hitchcock and that famous last scene in Psycho.
The film had it's World Premiere in competition at the 2019 Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival in February 2019.
Wild Will screened in the International Competition at the 2019 Tampere Film Festival in Finland and was one of seven International shorts selected for the 'Rebels With a Cause' Competition at the 2019 Tallinn Black Nights Film International Film Festival in Estonia.
The film was shot solo by Alan King in the kitchen of his apartment, pre-Covid in early 2019.
