Touching
ladyeliteme17 February 2020
This is a very touching documentary. I always loved Patrick Swayze, and am still so sad that he died young. It was great to hear his brother being interviewed, (you get to see Patrick's eyes again) and really enjoyed all those who contributed. I especially fond Rob Lowe (whom I never liked before..) very entertaining.

He had a heart of gold, something I already knew confirmed over and over. Miss you Patrick.

I AM: CRYING
davidsask25 August 2019
What a loving human being! I can't think of many, if any similar to him since he passed, Patrick and his wife's love story is something not many have in their life-time. One forgets all talent, uniqueness, success brought to every project part of. Patrick's relationships with friends in industry was clearly enduring by what is shown in this documentary. A legend missed. Tom Cruise will never be! (I am with Rob Lowe's Truth Tea) Anyone watching this will soon thereafter be watching catalogue of Patrick's work. Thank you Paramount for making this documentary. 9/10

So touching...

It's a touching documentary and shows pretty much all of Patrick as an actor and a person. It was very loving person to all as we can see. I am a little bit disappointed because it didn't show the mini series he played called "North and South ". In my point of view was a great mini series! I am from Greece and here we loved watching it at '80s.

So touching...I learned so much more about him watching this
babycakes-4526922 August 2019
I have loved Patrick Swayze since I was really young, I wanted to marry him one day. Hearing his voice and watching his movies takes me back to my youth and I will always love that. This was so touching and the moments that were shared, including the horse bowing when he passed. I couldn't stop crying. He had an amazing life and will always be remembered. And not just as an actor but because of his soul. Thank you for making this tribute.

I Am Patrick Swayze
jboothmillard18 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was part of a trend of TV-made documentary films from Network Entertainment celebrating popular movie stars who passed away too soon. Basically, this film looks back at the life and career of American actor Patrick Swayze. Friends and family that knew him best talk about his early and popular films and his roles, his relationships, his personal interests, and his sad death in 2009 from pancreatic cancer. With clips and discussions of his films, including: Skatetown, U. S. A. (1979), The Outsiders (1983), Red Dawn (1984), Dirty Dancing (1987) (also signing "She's Like the Wind"), Road House (1989), Ghost (1990), Point Break (1991), To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995), and The Beast (2009) (TV series, his final appearance). It also goes into detail about his interest in dancing, his hair (the mullet), his relationships, and his tragic diagnosis of cancer and how he coped with it in his final years. With contributions from Jennifer Grey, Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, Kelly Lynch, Rob Lowe, Lori Petty, C. Thomas Howell, and Don Swayze (Patrick's brother). It is a shame that Swayze died aged only 57, but this makes you appreciate how good an actor and a good man he was, it is an interesting documentary. Good!

Watch the movie and cry for a while. It is good to cry.

Just finished watching I am Patrick Swayze (2019). I realized that I've seen most of his movies and these are the movies of my youth. I didn't know about his problems with alcohol and the recognition of Hollywood as Kelly Lynch mentions in the movie. It's a sad movie about a guy with an unbelievable career, stamina and physical charisma. At the same time, it's a story about a vulnerable guy who had his ups and downs, just like every one of us. In this line of thoughts, the image of Patrick Swayze shines not only with that polished perfectionism through the typical macho outlook but sparkles with the variety of different characters which he portrayed and they completed the gamut of his possibilities as an actor. You will see a lot of big names talking about him here within whom are also his wife Lisa Niemi and Rob Lowe. A must-see for the kids like me who grew up in the 80s and not only. It's also a wake-up call how short human life is. Watch it and cry for a while. It's good to cry.

Awesome documentary
janix7129 January 2020
After watching this doc. I had to watch more of his relationship with Lisa. "One Last Dance" captured the love they had for each other. It was a wonderful performance by them both. Their dance routine was breath taking. It made me cry , because their love for one another was wonderfully displayed in their dance. It was incredible..

A wonderful human beeing. Watch this movie
seahorn-6192013 December 2022
Patrick Swayze you wonderful soul. As a teenager and young man, I admired you for your charisma and acting skills. I also admired your strenght and your empathy. The more I learned about your personality, the more impressed I was. I read your biography. Your life, your abilities and your wonderful being can hardly be put into a book or a movie. That much is certain.

I just cried my eyes out. This documentary has brought out everything that is possible. 5 stars for you as a human being and therefore for this respectful documentary.

Rest in peace. Thank you for your inspiration. I will never forget you.
