Exclusive: Dirk Hoogstra is getting the band back together at Lionsgate.
Hoogstra, who is now leading the eOne U.S. label at Lionsgate Alternative Television, is bringing over a number of his former Half Yard Productions colleagues.
Nicole Sorrenti, who was Chief Creative Officer at the Say Yes To The Dress producer, left the company, which is owned by Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company, at the same time as Hoogstra last year.
She now serves as EVP, Development, eOne U.S. In addition to TLC’s wedding series, she has produced series including Secrets & Sisterhood: The Sozahdahs for Hulu, and I Just Killed My Dad for Netflix.
San Heng joins the company as SVP, Development, eOne U.S. The showrunner has worked on series including RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Real Housewives and Little Women: LA. She recently wrapped on Chrissy & Dave Dine Out and the upcoming docuseries Wayne Brady: The Family Remix.

For the first time in herstory, RuPaul’s DragCon is going digital. The two-day event will stream on World of Wonder’s YouTube channel — WoWPresents — this weekend beginning 12 p.m. Pt/ 3 p.m. Et.
Queens from the currently airing twelfth season, along with previous fan favorites, will be participating in “wig-snatching entertainment, exclusive Q&As, glittering performances, shoutouts, and safe-space celebration,” according to the press release.
The event replaces the physical RuPaul’s DragCon, which was supposed to be held in Los Angeles this weekend but was canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

TLC’s new makeover series “Dragnificent!” finally has a premiere date.
The show, hosted by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alums Alexis Michelle, Bebe Zahara Benet, Jujubee and Thorgy Thor, will debut on Sunday, April 19 at 11 p.m. before moving to its regular time slot on Monday, April 20 at 10 p.m.
Announced earlier this year, “Dragnificent!” will see the four queens help someone “reimagine their appearance for a special day and reveal themselves as they have only dreamed, while taking viewers on a touching journey of their life and struggles up to this point.”

One could make the argument that wedding shows are starting to get more out of control, or more imaginative, simply because so much has been done at this point that the programs need something to shake them up.
